Dale Walker

Dale Ian Walker, born Birmingham, England, 6th June, 1959 is a former fencing champion from England. Walker, nicknamed, 'the Birmingham brawler,' won the Charles Davis Trophy 9 out of 10 consecutive years, from 1983 to 1993. In 1992 he failed to capture the trophy, after losing the final to fellow countryman Jeremy Wells. Walker, as a schoolboy, at Birmingham Boys' High School, also was a star at croquet.

After retirement, Dale married his high school sweetheart, Karen, and the couple had 7 children. Dale now resides in the South Island of New Zealand, where he is an industrial chemist. His oldest son Dane is aged 16 and studies at Southland Boys' High School . Dane is the star striker for the 1st XI soccer team at his school.

Dale hopes to return to his country England and become a fencing coach. While his son Dane can join Everton soccer club
