Recommendations For Arguments I don't mind having intelligent arguments with people, but I would like to request that if you do so, you study up on what it means to have an arguement, as well as what logical fallacies are, and how to avoid making them. I am tired of engaging in pointless arguments with people. If you can support what claims you make with evidence and logic, then by all means, do so. But if you fail to review what you want to post on my talk page, and your logic doesn't follow, or is non-existent, do not expect me to respond to you, and do not persist in leaving messages if I don't respond. This is just my way of maintaining my sanity, and not wasting my time.

Thanks in advance.

[edit] Goku Info

Hey Dai, I'm struggling to confirm Goku's height for the Vegeta article. Now I only read through trivia that Vegeta is 5,2 and Goku is 5,7 but its constantly being changed to 5,3 and 5,11. You seem to know your way through DBZ so have any clues? Darkwarriorblake 03:01, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] INCORRECT INFO

We really have to do something about all these unsourced and incorrect info being posted on all the DB articles. What do you have in mind? 3bulletproof16 22:58, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tuffles

Why are you changing Tuffles to Tsufurujin? As far as I know, there is no English version that doesn't change it. Also.. "Tsufuru" may be a way to write "Tuffles" in Japanese, therefore the name would be the same, wouldn't it? WhisperToMe 02:09, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

WhisperToMe 02:09, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

But that shouldn't be the criteria on deciding on a name. Ask yourself: "What is the name that an Anglophone is most likely to think of?"

Now, if the European English dub uses Tuffles too, that solidifies my argument.

You can always argue about the Japanese pun in the page itself. WhisperToMe 06:00, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dragonball Manga vs Dragonball Z Manga

In response to the comment you left on my talk page, the manga is called Dragonball. From that manga, they made two animated series Dragonball and Dragonball Z. So there is no DBZ manga, unless you consider the English-translated issues of DB that have been retroactively re-titled DBZ (which I believe was only done in the US). But is that really manga? I'm not so sure. Besides, if that's the case than Super Saiyajin and Vegeta only appear in the DBZ "manga." Also note the lack of any DBZ manga article, while DB has both a manga and an anime article. I admit I may have been a little rash to declare DBZ manga as non-existant. It is, perhaps, an over-simplification. But the fact is that DB and DBZ are both from the same manga. To claim that there is a DBZ manga in certain articles when the DBZ article clearly defines it as an animated series is confusing at best and misleading at worst in my opinion. --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 11:15, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Courtesy

As an aside, I would appreciate it if you did not use such condescending language, both on my talk page and in your edit summaries. I was not vandalising or "mindlessly" deleting information, I was editing those pages in order to improve them. We may disagree but that doesn't mean we need to lose our cool. --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 11:34, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

I appreciate your efforts to clear up the misunderstanding between us. Rest assured, I don't take your reversion of my edits personally. As I readily admit, I think my edits were a little extreme. I guess I took that be bold message literally. As far as my comments on courtesy, personally, when someone leaves messages on my Talk Page using language like "do some research" and has a tendency to type words in ALL CAPS (in boldface, no less), it can come across as condescending. You're right, you are "just some person" and so am I. For that reason I cannot treat you like you are "not important" because I wouldn't want someone to treat me that way. I try my best to "speak" (via a keyboard) to everyone with that in mind. --Do Not Talk About Feitclub (contributions) 13:44, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Recent Debate

Hi Daishokaioshin, i'm here on behalf of your little dispute with Wiki-Star on the Majin Buu article. I'm here to provide evidence over this debate. It has come to my attention that you wish to call Super Buu 'Evil Buu, and Evil Buu 'Thin Buu'. I don't think this is correct. I believe Super Buu should remain as Super Buu, and Evil Buu should remain as Evil Buu. Super Buu is what he is known today because he the result of the fusion of two Majin Buu's. If you were to call him Evil Buu, he would be pure evil, would he not. However this is not the case. It is stated by Piccolo in Episode 241, that he is 'almost' Pure Evil. He also did not attack Mr. Satan or Videl when he had the chance, making it evident that he shows remorse and has some form of conscience. Evil Buu is the opposite. If Evil Buu had not attacked Fat Buu and gone after Mr. Satan he would not have that same opression to attack him, and he would do it without any hesitation. Evil Buu is the direct opposite to Good Buu, therefore he is pure evil (not crazy pure evil though, like Kid Buu). When Evil Buu absorbed Good Buu, Good Buu's memories were given to Evil Buu, and therfore he remembers the kindness Mr. Satan gave him, as well as the king things Good Buu had occasionally done. This in a sense, makes Super Buu partly good himself (only very faintly). To name Evil Buu, Thin Buu is a little confusing to some i beleieve. I think it's easier to call Evil Buu, Evil Buu becuase he is stated to be the direct opposite to Good Buu. It's eaiser to call Super Buu, Super Buu, becuase he is the fusion of two, and simply sounds correct to most fans. I hope this settles some things, thanks

Brad92 23:44, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

I tried to clarify this in that debate, and have refrained from making any edits as of yet. But long story short, Dai is right. It is Evil Buu, and the one we tend to call Evil Buu is Pure Evil Buu. Check the talk page for my full explanation. Onikage725 19:31, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reverting at Buu

Hello,

I know you are in the midst of a dispute at Buu, and are trying to discuss it, but please be aware that you are in violation of WP:3RR, have have been listed at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/3RR#User:Daishokaioshin. -- Natalya 15:34, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding reversions [1] made on May 8, 2006 (UTC) to Buu

You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. The duration of the block is 12 hours. William M. Connolley 18:58, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SSJ5

I think there should be an article for SSJ5. I know its fake, but there should be an article for it so people who beleiven SSJ5 can realize it doesn't exist. I'd make one but I'm new and inexperienced, so could you do it?

[edit] Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2

Daishokaioshin, I understand that an IP has continually deleted comments on the article's talk page and has also continued to add a Wanted / Unconfirmed Characters Section to the main article itself. I also understand that the IP has signed and edited using multiple IP addresses and User Names. The fact that he is deliberately deleting comments on the talk page is just pure vandalism. However, the fact that he continues to add the Wanted / Unconfirmed Characters Section is considered as adding speculation which is not allowed on Wikipedia. So when he reverts the article to his previous version with the Wanted / Unconfirmed Characters Section, you can just simply refer him to this Wikipedia Policy (Wikipedia is not a crystal_ball). The other violation that he has committed is - "Using sockpuppets (multiple accounts) to avoid the Three-revert rule limit" - It is a violation of the WP:SOCK Policy. To report this violation, please see the following links...

If you have any questions regarding this issue you can ask me or better yet see the Five pillars Policy and What Wikipedia is not. Thank you for your continuous contributions to Wikipedia.-3bulletproof16 00:53, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Oozaru

I wanted your opinion on something I asked. On the talk page for Oozaru I asked 2 questions that nobody seems to be answering. You have extensive knoledge of DBZ, so I was wondering if you could answer them for me.KojiDude 04:00, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Straw Poll

Hello, you are invited to take part in a straw poll at the Majin Buu page to avoid another revert war with User:Wiki-star. --Orion Minor 23:44, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request to take Majin Buu to arbitration...

Snurk, snurk, snurk...

After doing a file report on WP:ANI that was lightly brushed away, administrators suggested taking the case to WP:ARB. The theory being, if User:Wiki-star is as bad as all out, he would shoot himslef in the foot (though he should be lookin' somethin' like the Black Knight by now). As a periphery, I don't feel it's right to act as a cornerstone. Would you organize it?

I'm posting this to several parties involved in this 'lil get-together at Majin Buu, so let them know if you get to it first or decline please. This looks to be our final measure. Papacha 06:06, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, it's not for *me* really, as I've got outside concerns of my own to tend to. But yeah, I'm loathe to deal with Wiki-star any longer than necessary myself. Papacha 07:24, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism? Yes it's vandalism.

It's called page blanking. Whether it's just a bunch of insults or not, blanking pages (even talk pages) is considered vandalism by Wikipedia policy. Please stop. If you continue to blank pages, as you did to Talk:Dragon Ball Z Power Levels, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --3bulletproof16 16:11, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Please don't take this personal. My intention is not to threaten you in any way, shape or form. I honestly do respect you as an editor, and admire your contributions to Wikipedia. Please understand that the warning is just a standard procedure. It is just a template designed to clear up vandalism. Please see Template:Blank3-n. I hope you do not take the warning personal. I sincerely value your presence on Wikipedia. --3bulletproof16 16:25, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
No problem. I'll warn the user if he persists. Once again, thank you for your valued contributions to Wikipedia. --3bulletproof16 16:38, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
BTW, I've had an urge to start a Wikiproject on all things Dragon Ball for quite some time now. I was wondering what other editors much like yourself, thought of this idea. --3bulletproof16 16:46, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Freakin' Wiki-star. Anyways Daishokaioshin, technically it would be considered vandalism. However, see...

Talk page vandalism

  • Deleting the comments of other users from article Talk pages, or deleting entire sections thereof, is generally considered vandalism. Removing personal attacks is often considered legitimate, and it is considered acceptable to archive an overly long Talk page to a separate file and then remove the text from the main Talk page. The above does not apply to the user's own Talk page, where users generally are permitted to remove and archive comments at their discretion, except in cases of warnings, which they are generally prohibited from removing, especially where the intention of the removal is to mislead other editors. --3bulletproof16 20:14, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Japan

[edit] Scope and goals

This project is designed to help those interested in improving all of the Japan-related articles on Wikipedia to find a particular area in which they are interested in working. As "Japan" is a broad subject, there are many sub-projects and collaborations in which you can participate. We want to:

  1. Allow people to more easily locate groups working on Japan-related WikiProjects
  2. Create a body of articles that accurately depicts the history and culture of Japan and the Japanese
  3. Expand the number of articles regarding Japan and Japanese subjects
  4. Further #3 by expanding all Japan-related article stubs
  5. Highlight Japan's relationship and contributions to the rest of the world
  6. Properly source all Japan-related articles
  7. Standardize the style and format of articles on Japan or Japanese subjects; and
  8. Standardize the use of Japanese-language terms, names, and translations into English across all related articles, bringing them in line with the WP:MOS-JA.

Check this out. [2]

I cannot believe that while we were all working on our own there was already a Wikiproject on all things Dragon Ball! The Wikiproject seems to have been created on June 11, 2006 and since then no one has taken the time to join. I suggest we inform other contributors about this and see if they are interested in joining to keep this project alive. Then we'll set the ground rules. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Dragon Ball --3bulletproof16 17:52, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, some of us posted, but the idea just up and dried on the vine. If y'all can get better mileage this go-round, you've got my full support. Papacha 16:46, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

However... I am going to miss his dramatic way of writing... that Final Atonement speech almost (ahem... ALMOST) brought a tear to my eye. Well not really, but still pretty dramatic. --3bulletproof16 06:19, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Return of Wiki-Star

Well for once I'm somewhat flattered that he actually addressed me this time. Though I'm not too fond of him saying that he was going to kill me, I do, however, manage to find some comedic relief in all this at the thought of him attempting to kill me. Here's my analysis: He can't write at all so my guess is another Dragon Emperor "Sockpuppet". However, the IPs responsible for the recent vandalism are AOL trolls so there is a slim possibility that Wiki-star could indeed be making himself look like an ass again... --3bulletproof16 21:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dragon Ball GT

Do you consider this canon, and do you have any official evidence one way or the other? This one vandal keeps editing the the Bebi (Dragon Ball GT) page and reverting my changes with his only excuse being that he doesn't think GT is canon. TJ Spyke 21:52, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

You are the vandal, as you have done nothing to prove it's canon, and I have given you lists of facts. You have ignored everything I said, only thinking about YOUR personal opinion, which is bad faith, thus you are the vandal.--KojiDude 21:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Your only fact is that Toriyama didn't write it. You don't think GT is canon, I believe it is(and have not seen any official evidence to prove otherwise). TJ Spyke 22:04, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Sigh... I'm in a neutral position, BTW -- bulletproof 3:16 22:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My Apologies

Yeah, I'm sorry for going on about things I should ask forums since the discussion section, as you and some other person told me many times times in the past, are for discussing the article, not what the article is about. I'll try not to do that anymore. Thank-you, that's all.--Suit-n-tie 05:23, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question

Your userpage said if there are any questions about DBZ and yeah...I have a question, when Goku hurls the spirit bomb at Kid Boo, why didn't he dodge?--Suit-n-tie 01:34, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the answer. That has bothered me for some time...but now I get it.--Suit-n-tie 04:09, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] huh?

what on earth are you talking about?

I created the tables! It is not likely for a guy to vandalize his own creation. Do you even know what vandalism is?--201 20:32, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Read the article you linked, moron. Wikipedia:Vandalism#What vandalism is not--201 20:41, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

I know the article is everybody's, but the rest of the page is not organized by sagas. The freeza related characters are groupe in the List of villains from dragonball. In the list of characters the characters are organized by races. "Freeza related" is not a race.--201 20:44, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. There HAS to be a logical criteria for the character groupings. Either races or sagas, but mixig is a bad idea. I didn't use much logic when I created the Freeza table. If we're going by sagas, it is ok (like in the villains list) if not those character belong with the other aliens.

You're not so wrong with the Saiyans and Namekians. If the third group was "aliens" then, there would be a problem. But we have Saiyans, Namekians AND Other aliens, so it is actually ok.

I'm also not so sure about Chaozu and Tenshinhan, maybe they should be in a monsters group, with some other budokai and uranai baba non-human fighters.--201 20:55, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Fear enough. What about the other fighters?--201 01:59, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ranma 1/2 articles

Hello, you mentioned in your comment in the Shampoo page that the manga was still being written, which is wrong. The manga ended its run in Japan way bak in 1996. It is still being translated here in America, though. Seek on the internet, there are places where you can read the whole manga from start to finish. But I have to thank you for deleting a fan-statement that, while based on official information, was worded in a way that was definitively fancruft.Facer 04:33, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi. Well, yes, the one who told you it was still being written was wrong. The only manga Rumiko Takahashi is working on right now is Inu Yasha, which should end in a couple of years in Japan, (if not sooner) and she sporadically adds episodes to One Pound Gospel and Mermaid Saga. Perhaps that person meant that Ranma 1/2 was still being published here in the US? Anyway, as for sources, Furinkan.com has extensive information about this, the Ranma 1/2 main page here in Wikipedia has it too, and I seem to remeber that Viz had information about this as well, they even published an artbook which had an interview with Rumiko Takahashi discussing the series' run.
By the way, I do know the manga is over, trust me on that, I'm one of the guys who helped translate the fan-published version of Ranma 1/2 in Mexico when the official publication was cancelled after only five volumes, and I'm also one of the guys who followed the script translations of the last three manga volumes we had on the now defunct Ranma mailing list back in 1996-97, so I know what I'm saying. I mean, you are a Dragon Ball fan, so I'm sure you are 100% certain the manga ended in the late 1990's in Japan, right? Well, I'm a Ranma fan, so I am 100% sure that the manga is over... I wish it wasn't though, it's still one of my all time favorites. See you.Facer 07:08, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sorry

Hey Dai i wanna say sorry if i came on too strong. I am new at this, so bear with me. I am a person who LOVES DB and anything to do with it. I do not take anything personal but i love disscussing and debating DB, DBZ, and DBGT. I like the way you know you stuff but I am on your level so you in for a fight when we disagree on something as you can see. HeatP 4 November 2006

Oh Now i get you. Again sorry so that stuff early. but do not take some so personal. i came to you like the person i am and said sorry. but i also like to help with the editing of the stuff but it not just me. many of these guys and girls are put edit summaries on there that sparks up a debate mind you that you have been part of many time as posted. So don't take you frustrations out on me. and i wont do the same and i will help weed out the one starting depates. i have no reason to degrade a fella DB fan unless they are put nonsense on the discussion. yes i am wrong for going into depating but i just need someone to put it straight to me. THANK YOU!! for real. So as my hand is out for a friendly hand shake and call this debate stuff off but if there is something i don't agree with but does have something to do with the article then i will say my two cents. but will try to keep it within the article. again sorry for the outlashing and sorry for the fight remark too and thanks again.

There's a troll that is reverting my redirects from a few articles that seem to be plain listcruft. How is it pretty clear that Cui is weaker than Dodoria, I personally believe it but it is never confirmed. [edit] Kanzenban

As far as I'm able to tell, the Kanzenban is a special version of the manga that's touched up, given some colored pages, and tweeked a little bit. The only real example I know of is that in the final chapter Uub got the Kintoun instead of whatever happened in the original. Nemu 21:01, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Agree, it's just "touched up" Dragon Ball manga that was released exclusively in Japan, it consists of alternate senarios, or tweaked storylines, ect. Goku in the Kanzeban tests Uub's purity by having him ride the Kintoun, instead of flying off together with him in his back. Uub is able to ride the Kintoun of course and comes to own it. (Like passing a torch, in a way). I don't know of any alterations with any other characters in the Dragon Ball series. Hannibal the Cannibal 00:18, 3 Janurary 2007 (UTC)

If other Wikipedia users are seriously affecting your health, I'm afraid you can't use this as a way to get an administrator to act on something. It might be a good idea to force yourself to take a Wikibreak, or consider leaving permenantly. --Deskana (For Great Justice!) 00:41, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Seems rather a rude reply. Theresa Knott | Taste the Korn 00:49, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
I apologize if anyone thought I was trying to use Administrators to help out solely for my benefit. I reported him on the vandalism board both for his repeated vandalism of my talk page and TTN's talk page, AND for his harassment. While I am exceptionally unhappy with the harassment, I am more concerned with if he is permitted to get away with behaving in this manner, he may feel that he can do and say as he wishes to anyone else on here, without consequences. Even if it's just warning him that his actions are not okay, and that he should reconsider getting so upset over a few words that portrayed him as less than perfect, I'd be fine, because then he might learn from this, and decide not to harass and obssess in the future. Thanks for your time.
Daishokaioshin 00:56, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
(edit conflict) If he edits any of your comments then tell me about it and I'll revert him. If he edits your talk page then ignore him. Do not, under any circumstances, go to his talk page and reply. That will only prolong the fight. Theresa Knott | Taste the Korn 00:45, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Do you have a cite for one being named after the other? I see the one who updated the Kamehameha (Dragon Ball) page to say it was named after the Hawai'ian monarch was you, so I think it's fair to ask. I'm not looking for an edit war, I just heard it differently than you, and as I don't have a concrete source, I'm hoping you do. --Boradis 02:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. Just as I hoped, you had a fairly reliable source to back it up. -- Boradis 23:15, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DBZ anime

Do you remember what Vegeta's power level was in the anime when he fought Rikum? In the VIZ manga, they have "Over 20,000." According to the image shack which you removed because of spam, the Daizenshuu has it as 30,000. Wasn't it over 30,000 in the anime? If it was, it should be changed, right? Meaning, we should add all possible sources of power levels for this article: Power level (Dragon Ball). PL(DB) 18:16, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

It's been taken care of. Power level (Dragon Ball) 19:03, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

When you can, see Talk:Power level (Dragon Ball)#Okay, let's get these power levels right!, thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 19:03, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MA Userbox

Today, there was a merger of Category:Martial Artist Wikipedians into Category:Wikipedian martial artists. This resulted in a userbox {{User:TonyTheTiger/Userboxes/Martialartist}} being added to the category. This userbox is available to you. TonyTheTiger 20:13, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Gtubuu.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Gtubuu.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MECUtalk 01:15, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A new Dragon Ball attack list

I should let ya know too. Whenever you can, please see Talk:List of Dragon Ball special abilities#Garlic Gun. If you see that Garlic Gun there, that is just a sample of how the techniques should be classified and titled. I am going to change all of the techniques on the list (except Kamehameha, Dodonpa, Genki Dama, Kaio Ken and any others that were used as romaji names in the English manga/anime) into their literal English translation in about five days from now. This change will be similar as to how Bardock was changed to Burdock (name pun) and Hercule to Mr. Satan (which was his original Japanese/romaji name). Please comment on anything else if you have something you may want to add on to it. Thanks! Power level (Dragon Ball) 23:01, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
