[edit] TEDDY LO – Artist Biography

Hong Kong-based LED artist Teddy Lo has exhibited to much acclaim in the US, Europe, and Asia. Widely recognized in international art circles as a pioneering figure in the “tech-art” scene, Lo's best-known works present a fusion of technological and aesthetic elements – a “unique kingdom of light and shadow”, as one critic describes. As a graduate of visual communications, Lo began his exploration of LED as a mode of artistic expression, while studying advertising design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Upon graduation, Lo relocated to New York City, and soon established himself as an artist, while leading numerous design and advertising projects for technology companies around the world. In 2003, Lo held his first solo art exhibition, Morphology, in NYC. The artist was also named in Lighting magazine's “Who’s Who of Lighting 2004”, for his contribution to the lighting industry. Since then, Lo held solo exhibitions in prestigious locations around the world, including Russell Simmons’ Art for Life in NYC, Luminale in Frankfurt and the 2006 National Day Singapore Expo at The Esplanade.

Lo has harboured a passion for technology since his childhood, largely due to his exposure to the field through his family business in the tech industry. In addition to continuing his artistic pursuits, Lo is the founder and Executive Creative Director of Demiurge Unit, an innovative LED experience design company.
