As I seem to recall, Daihatu's advertising for their vehicles in the United States was very Japanese market oriented, and then translated into English. The result was something that didn't entice anyone, it instead sounded very much like a warning label on a product. The tagline was something like "The Rocky, by DIAHATSU; the most respected name in Japanese automobiles for (insert number of years)." Considering that most Americans had never heard of Diahatsu, I think they found the claim a bit hard to swallow. user: stude62 user talk:stude62 13:59, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)
