Daim Zainuddin

Tun Daim Zainuddin is a Malaysian businessman, politician and a former Finance Minister of Malaysia from 1984 to 1991. He was born in 1938 in Alor Star, Kedah. His first job was a teacher at the Sultan Abdul Hamid College until 1957. He then passed his Bar Examination in 1959, after enrolling himself at Lincoln's Inn for only eighteen months. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1979 in 'Urban Planning'. He started legal practice in Kelantan and setup his legal firm known as Daim & Gamani. Later in 1984, former Prime Minister appointed Daim Zainuddin as Malaysia's finance minister
