Dahlenburg

Dahlenburg is a municipality in the district of Lüneburg, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approx. 25 km east of Lüneburg.
Dahlenburg was home to the Dahlenburg family, who emigrated from Saxony to Australia in the 1840s, pioneering agriculture in areas of the Australian outback. [Correction - According to research done by the family in Australia in the 1970s and early 1980s, 3 brothers and a sister emigrated from Mecklenburg, not Dahlenburg, to Tanunda in South Australia in 1849 and 1851. - Phil Dahlenburg.]
Dahlenburg is also the seat of the Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") Dahlenburg, which consists of the following municipalities:
