Dag Nilsen was perhaps best known as the former bassist of legendary black metal band Darkthrone. Dag featured on the first album, Soulside Journey, but when Darkthrone swiftly changed style from death metal to black metal, Dag was not interested in doing black metal, as he was hugely into the technical death metal style of Soulside Journey. Nevertheless, he is credited as session bassist for the next album, A Blaze in the Northern Sky, and left officially thereafter.

Very little information about Dag is available, being a past member and such, as Nocturno Culto and Fenriz have always maintained a level of mysticism about themselves anyway.
