Cook earned Ohio Division II third team all-state honors as a sophomore and was a first team selection and the Division II co-player of the year as both a junior and senior. He was named onto the 2006 McDonald's All-American Team. Playing for the West, Daequan scored 17 points, making 5 of 9 3-pointers in the win.
