Daejeon University is a private university located in Daejeon, South Korea. The current president is Shin Geuk-beom (신극범). About 230 instructors are employed. The university also operates a hospital of Oriental medicine.

The undergraduate offerings of Daejeon University are divided among five colleges: the College of Liberal Arts, College of Engineering, College of Law & Economics, College of Oriental Medicine, and College of Natural Sciences.
In addition to the general graduate school, there are specialized graduate schools of Management and Social Work, Business Information, Education, and Health and Sports.

The school first opened in 1981 as Daejeon College (대전대학). The affiliated Oriental medicine hospital was opened in the following year. The graduate school was opened in 1987, and the college became a university in 1988.
