Daedeok Science Town is an area within the city of Daejeon, South Korea with a high concentration of research institutions. It is a science park conceived by the South Korean government in 1972. There are 232 research and educational institutions and about 5,000 researchers with doctorate degrees located in the area as of 2007.[1]
