D3 Publisher

D3 Publisher is a Japanese video game publisher. Current CEO and president is Yuji Ito, and It is known for its Simple series of low-priced console games. Their games have been released for the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Nintendo GameCube and the Xbox 360.
The name stands for "Domain 3" and refers to the three publishing "domains" the company originally intended to enter - computer and video games, music and books - although the company now exclusively publishes console games.

According to D3Publisher's press release, the company was founded as early as 1992-2-5.
D3 started business in 1997-4-1 as a game division of Culture Publishers Inc., which was renamed to D3Publishers Inc. in 1999-6. In 1999-7-12, the computer game division was transferred from Culture Publishers Inc. to D3Publishers Inc.
Fields Corporation started investing D3Publisher, Inc. as early as 2004. In 2005-2-15, D3Publisher, Inc. announced Fields Corporation would become its parent company[1].
In 2005-12-14, D3 PUBLISHER Inc. announced it would shift to a holding company system and the name change. The holding company would become D3 Inc., which is a company owning D3 PUBLISHER Inc. in Japan, D3PUBLISHER of America Inc. and D3PUBLISHER of Europe Inc. Game publishing, sales, and development would move to D3 PUBLISHER Inc. The restructure was completed in 2006-4-1.

The company currently operates subsidiaries in the USA (D3 Publisher of America) and the UK (D3 Publisher of Europe), as well as a joint venture with Italian company Digital Bros., D3DB Srl. The US and UK divisions mainly publish original games or games licensed from Japanese companies other than D3, rather than attempts to establish the Simple series in other territories, although Digital Bros and D3DB have released several Simple games under the 505 GameStreet label.
In 2004-10-13, D3Publisher, Inc. announced the establishment of a 99.5% owned U.S. subsidiary known as D3Publisher of America Inc., with head office set in Los Angeles, California[2]. The company was established on 2005-11-1, and the preparation was completed on 2004-12-8[3].
In 2004-12-13, D3Publisher, Inc. announced it had reached agreement with Digital Bros. S.p.A. to establish of a joint venture company named D3DB S.r.l., located at Mirano, Italy[4]. Each company would own 50% share of D3DB S.r.l. The new company was established in 2005-2-14[5][6].
In 2005-11-15, D3Publisher, Inc. announced the establishment of D3Publisher of Europe Ltd., which would be located in London.[7]. The company was intended to be an expansion of the earlier established D3DB S.r.l.
