D. Irvin Couvillion (born Louisiana, 1934) is a special trial judge of the United States Tax Court.

B.S., in Accounting, Louisiana State University, 1956; J.D., Louisiana State University Law School, 1959; LL.M., Taxation, Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C., 1973. Private law practice, Marksville, LA, 1959-66; Administrative Assistant, Honorable Speedy O. Long, Member of Congress, Eighth District (LA), 1966-73; law practice, tax litigation, Baton Rouge, LA, 1975-85. Appointed Special Trial Judge, United States Tax Court, on July 1, 1985.
