D'Antonio David

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

D'Antonio David or "Soke Fujita" is an American Ninjutsu[citation needed] martial artist and instructor, who owns and operates the Bufukan Ninpo Dojo located in Audubon, Pennsylvania.

[edit] Fighting style, lineage and teachings

His ninjutsu style is called Koga Ryu Wada Ha[citation needed], of which Mr. D'Antonio is the current iemoto (inheritor), being granted the title after 11 years of training with 15th Soke of the ryu-ha Harou Oyama and ni-dai Soke Fred Barnes, thus becoming the 16th Soke of the ryu-ha [1].[citation needed]

He mentions having studied Tae Kwon Do, Aikido and Kung Fu, as well as the Iga style of Ninjutsu, although his greatest qualification and teaching preference is in the aforementioned Koga Ryu Wada Ha style.

His art name "Fujita" was supposedly self-chosen in honor of the 14th Soke of the ryu-ha, Soke Seiko Fujita. Soke D'Antonio was given the warrior names of "Dragon Spirit" and "Demon Hands" by The 15th Soke of the ryu-ha, Soke Harou Oyama. As of the year 2006, Soke D'Antonio has been training in Ninjutsu (Ninpo) for 29 years[citation needed], and currently holds Menkyo Kaiden in several traditional Japanese ryu-ha and the Grade of Judan kuro obi (10th degree black belt).

[edit] Controversy

His name appears in the signature of two hatemail posts on the Real Ultimate Power internet site (or at least somebody signed with both his real name and Soke title) , a well-known Ninja parody site. Whether those posts were really made by Mr. D'Antonio or not, is hard or impossible to tell, as the actual e-mail is withheld by the Real Ultimate Power's administrators.
