Dōtakun (ドータクン Dōtakun?) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Dōtakun in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]
Its Japanese name is a portmanteau of the words dōtaku (銅鐸?), referring to the Yayoi period bronze bells; and dondon (どんどん?), the sound it produces.

[edit] Biological characteristics
Dōtakun has the appearance of a giant steel bell with the yoke still attached (probably based on a Shinto temple bell or dōtaku). It has various darkly colored designs on its body. The combination of two red-colored circles and a gradient design between them give Dōtakun a face with two eyes and a mouth.
Its overall appearance is vaguely similar to the boss that resides in the Tower of the Gods (Gohdan: The Great Arbiter) in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Dōtakun is the Dōtaku Pokémon. One Pokédex entry states that a Dōtakun was found at a construction site after sleeping for two millennia. Another says that eons ago, Dōtakun was the God of Harvest, and could summon rain and sun. This is why it can learn Sunny Day and Rain Dance.
[edit] In the video games
Dōtakun, along with its pre-evolution Domirror, possesses the attributes of a Steel and Psychic-type Pokémon (the only others who have these types are Beldum, Metang, Metagross and Jirachi). It is normally acquired by evolving Domirror at level 33.
Dōtakun's defenses are both very high, and its Attack is slightly higher than its Special Attack. Its Speed is its lowest attribute. Unlike other Steel and Psychic-type Pokémon, Dōtakun can possess two abilities that protect it from its two weaknesses: Ground and Fire attacks. It can either have the Levitate ability, ridding it of damage from Ground-type attacks, or the Heatproof ability, cutting in half the damage inflicted by Fire-type attacks.
Dōtakun is used by the final Sinnoh Elite Four member Goyō at level 63, making it Goyō´s Strongest pokemon
