Dăneşti (Hungarian: Csíkdánfalva) is a commune in Harghita County, Romania.

  • Mădăraş/Csíkmadaras was until 2002 part of Dăneşti, but is now a commune in its own right.

The commune has an absolute Székely (Hungarian) majority. According to the 2002 census it has a population of 4,520 of which 99.03% or 4,476 are Hungarian.
