Dønna is a municipality in the county of Nordland, Norway, located on the coast of the Helgeland landscape.

The municipality is named after the island Dønna (Norse Dyn). The name of the island is probably derived from the verb dynja 'rumble, roar' (referring to the swell of the waves on the island).
