Czech On Line, a.s. is an alternative telecommunications operator in the Czech Republic operating under the brand "Volny" (Czech word for "free").

The company was founded as an Internet service provider in 1995. In 1999, the company changed the Czech internet market by being the first to provide dial-up internet access for free.

In 2000 Telekom Austria acquired the company and transferred it into an alternative telecommunications provider offering all types of fixed line telecommunication services.

Today, besides offering dial-up access fixed telephony services via dedicated access, the company provides carrier pre-selection or carrier selection (network code 1020) and broadband internet access (ADSL, SHDSL and Microwave point-to-multipoint connections) for business and residential customers. With its wireless network the company covers more than 40 of the largest Czech cities. The company also runs an interent portal.

Since 2001, the company owns a nationwide 3.5 GHz license. They have been unbundling the local loop network in the major Czech cities (Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Pilsen, Hradec Kralove, Olomouc, Teplice, Mlada Boleslav, Pribram and Kladno) since 2005.

Czech On Line holds the Microsoft Certified Partner certificate, is a founding member of the NIX.CZ Association, and is a member of the CZ.NIC and active member of the Czech Association of Public Telecommunications Net Providers (APVTS), including its AORTA branch.
