CZAW SportCruiser
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The CZAW SportCruiser is a new aircraft (2006) designed to fly as a ultralight/microlight category in several countries as well as the USA's Light-sport Aircraft category of general aviation. It is manufactured by Czech Aircraft Works (CZAW).
The aircraft is of all metal construction with a low wing, two seat, single engine, with a fixed tricycle undercarriage configuration. It can be delivered either as a kit, or as a fully built production model.
The manufacturer claims the CZAW SportCruiser is set to be one of the best selling aircraft of 2007, having sold 20 kits in the UK in the first month of launch, and many more world wide.
Source of above information is the UK Owners Group / CZAW - serial numbers 3857 to 4030 have been issued globally from August to September 2006 (for 2007 delivery slots).
The SportCruiser's engine is either a Rotax 912ULS or a Jabiru 3300.
The SportCruiser is capable of cruise at 125 mph (109 knots or 201 km/h) and of achieving up to 6 hours endurance - or a range of 745 nm (1200 km). Takeoff is achieved in around 110 metres (360 ft).
