Cyprian Ekwensi

Cyprian Ekwensi (born September 26, 1921) is a Nigerian, short-story writer, and children's books author.
Ekwensi was born in Minna, Nigeria. He attended Government College, Ibadan. He later studied forestry and worked for two years as a forestry officer. He also taught science courses briefly, worked for Radio Nigeria, and studied pharmacy at Lagos School of Pharmacy and the University of London. He has written hundreds of short stories, radio and television scripts, several dozen novels, including children's books.
