I'm hoping to expand the article even further with more reliable sources and perhaps some further citations from actual ancient accounts of the city. We know it was a colony in Aeolis, we know it was of Ionic culture and fell under Persian rule some time during the Graeco-persian Wars and Herodotus refers to the colony in Book One of 'Histories'. I'm sure there are other ancient writers who have made a reference to Cyme (the one in Aeolis, not Cumae in Southern Italia). If i find any further references to Cyme in Herodotus i will add them as they arise (since i am still reading Book One).

If anyone has Archaeological information/details then please feel free to add another section. Also i have some information regarding the local economy which will be posted as soon as i find some reliable sources and the time to edit.
