Cymphonic

Cymphonic is the artistname of the Dutch ambient project of Stanley Swinkels.

Born in 1977 (Holland) and growing up in the 1980s with music like Brian Eno, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Kraftwerk, and minimal musicians like Steve Reich, it was inevitable that this would influence the way Swinkels creates and experiences music. He started his musical career in the early nineties working with diverse electronic soundgenerators. Improved computer and software capabilities led to the creation of his recent, more surrealistic ambient found on the album Phonema Sacrata (on the Databloem/dataObscura label).

His current sound can be described as a mix of original electronic sounds, recurring evocative themes, dreamy rhythms, field recordings, imaginative samples and unique pacing.
