[edit] WP:NPA, WP:CIV

Regarding your recent warning on User talk:C-Dew, please take note of our key policies on civility and no personal attacks. Your wording was uncalled for, and your recent contributions don't suggest anything helpful, either. Your opinions on recent requests for adminship have been made without any support, and you've not made an effort to source your additions to Wikipedia. You may want to read WP:POLICY before continuing. Cheers, – Chacor 14:38, 18 January 2007 (UTC) Very sorry this particulary user who calls himself C-Dew is a vandal and has a blantant disregard for Wikipedias spamming policy.

[edit] Your edit to Dev920's RFA

When you voted oppose you perhaps inadvertently deleted another editor's support vote. Please exercise more caution when editing pages, particularly ones as important as RFA nomination. Here is the diff. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jeffpw (talkcontribs). Yes I did it was purely accidental thoughCylonhunter 17:16, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA

Thanks for your support in my RfA. I've felt it best to withdraw on this occasion and think about the good advice I received. Thanks again, Jakew 19:22, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Autoblock

{{unblock-auto|1=71.85.48.65|2=Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Cylonhunter1227". The reason given for Cylonhunter1227's block is: "troll account".|3=Future Perfect at Sunrise}} As you may know my screenname is very similar to Cylonhunter1227's but that is not me. My big sister thinks that it is funny to vandalize and likes to use account names similar to mine to do it.Cylonhunter 05:37, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, somehow there's just too much suspicious activity going on.
  • Cylonhunter1227 (talk contribs) creates a troll RFA (Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Nocturnalnerd1227) proposing a vandal-only account, Nocturnalnerd1227 (talk contribs). You stumble into Cylonhunter1227's autoblock.
  • Earlier, you were affected by an autoblock of another vandal, Bandofgold (talk contribs). Incidentally, Bandofgold's silly unblock excuse ("forgot to logout at school and somebody used by account to vandalise") [1] is almost exactly the same as that used by Nocturnalnerd1227 ([2]), and also quite similar to the excuse you're using now ("big sister").
  • There was a second troll RFA nomination yesterday, a self-nom by ColtsXLI (talk contribs). I block the troll. ColtsXLI makes no further edits, no unblock request, but who do they turn to in private to complain of the block, and who turns up on his talk page and mine to advocate for them? ([3], [4]) You.
Care to explain? Fut.Perf. 06:56, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
First off as you can see I am in good standing. Second of all we all go to the same school so as you probably can imagine we all occasionally use the schools computer to log on to wikipedia which explains how I got auto blocked in the first place. Third off since you mentioned nocturnalnerd1227's talk page his is nothing like mine. I am at least smart enough to log out of my account however apparantly my sister is smart enough to know what my screen name is and how to emulate it. Being the only person in my school with an account that is in good standing and the only one that knows how to format for unblocking ColtsXLI came to me when he was blocked.During lunch tommorrow I will show him how to do that. However seeing as he as done some pretty lame stuff I seriously doubt that he will get unblocked. Now if you would please unblock me so that I can help stop editors that are actually vandalizing wikipedia.
Seriously though dude if you really think that I might be a threat to wikipedia take a look at my edits. They aren't great but they aren't vandalism.Cylonhunter

Forgot to mention that when ColtsXLI discovered that he was blocked the bell rang and he had to log out at school. He asked me to mention it to you as I did.

Good standing. Hmmm.... Sorry, but... Your account was actually only created after the last vandal account, Bandofgold, was shut down. You start off your career with a copyvio that is speedied (Mythology of Star Wars with George Lucas & Bill Moyers). Then you have a few normal edits. Then, just 6 days after account creation, you chance across RfA and make two apparently random unexplained votes ([5], [6]. Not typical behaviour of a genuine good-faith newbie. You insult an editor ([7]) and two days later cite "insults" as a reason for opposing another RfA ([8]). Then you have a freak AfD ([9]), some pretty idiosyncratic behaviour on a Featured article candidates discussion (Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Harry McNish) - how did you even find all those exotic areas in Wikipedia? - and some erroneous tinkering with interwiki links ([10]). Okay, I'll set you free, and wish you happy editing, but here's a piece of free advice: you might want to be a bit more careful about rushing into areas of the wiki for which you are not really quite qualified yet by your experience. And best regards to your sis and friends - you are hereby licensed to rip off their heads and serve them to us on a silver plate. Fut.Perf. 09:21, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Like I said they are not great but they are not vandalism. I have worked on making them better. On those first 2 Rfas I Forget to leave a reason but I heve not done that since. I am not stupid by the way I know how to find stuff. By the way I am not a sock puppet of BandofGold. this is my first account. But anyway I have no more time for this good luck in the future.

per previous two. This is a shared IP.Cylonhunter 14:42, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Wait. School? Really? Schools normally don't have more than one single IP, do they? You shouldn't be stumbling onto so many IP autoblocks... – Chacor 14:45, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Apparantly someone that was previously blocked logged on recently. I am very sorry for an technical problems that this has caused.Cylonhunter 14:48, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

72.159.134.195 checks out to BellSouth. Do U.S. high schools use commercial ISPs? Hmm. I'm not entirely believing your story, here. – Chacor 14:50, 25 January 2007 (UTC) I am at my high school and I do believe that is our high schools IP. You are welcome to come visit and ask our principal if you do not believe me--Cylonhunter 14:48, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Warning

Re. your edit to bullying: most certainly, that is adding nonsense, even worse that you reverted a bot cleaning up. You're running very close to an indef block, so don't push it. – Chacor 14:58, 30 January 2007 (UTC) That bot has made mistakes in the past that led me to the belief that he made one here--Cylonhunter 14:48, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Lafayette College edits

Hi, Can you please read what is written (and cited) earlier in the article? What I deleted is duplicate information. Please reply here or on my talk page and let me know if you agree or disagree. - Mattingly23 14:29, 31 January 2007 (UTC) I corrected them--Cylonhunter 14:48, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of U.S. Colleges & Universities by Endowment

I was just wondering why you reverted my edit to the above page. You can review your edit here: Revert by Cylonhunter? I listed a valid source for the edit, the Kansas University Alumni Association website. You did not explain the revert in either the edit summary or the talk page. Please let me know. Thanks,--Getaway 16:36, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Polling Data

I have a dumb question. Why is wikipedia allowing polling data when polling data has proven to be extremely inaccurate at times? Isn't wikipedia an encyclopedia not a political news site--Cylonhunter 14:43, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Actually, that is a good question. I guess that is the type of encyclopedia that we get when everyone is allowed to edit. Under our system we don't get a straight-forward Britannica type of encyclopedia, but one where there is a lot of junk like quotes from Family Guy, the Simpsons, etc. in political articles, not articles about cartoons. We get "Trivia" sections full of favorite colors and shopping habits. I think that short-term polling data falls into category. Information that would not make it by Britannica standards, but is not so horrible that it MUST be excluded. Talk to you later,--Getaway 15:29, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rush Limbaugh

The Nobel Prize section does not contain reliable sources, contrary to your edit summary claim. It has been removed again. There were only two sources. One was a press release from the nominating group. Press releases are not proper sources. The other said absolutely nothing about the nom. Please join us on the talk page to discuss the matter. Thanks! Vassyana 17:55, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Dear Cylonhunter: Right here is a link to a reliable source: http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7006343471 Folks that don't want the information in the article remove this reliable source and then argue that Limbaugh's nomination story does not have a reliable source.--BballJones 18:17, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] John McKissick

Hi. I've removed the prod tag from the above article, as I'm not certain it's prod material. I have instead listed it on AfD. You can see the debate here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John McKissick. Lankiveil 13:05, 15 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Your RFA

May I strongly suggest that you withdraw your RfA? You have been an editor here for just over two months, and have less that 200 edits total. Either of those is an absolute guarantee that your RfA will be unsuccessful. (You state that I am an active participator in admin. elections; if so, you should know what it takes for a successful RfA, as well as the fact that the process is not, technically, an "election".) -- John Broughton (♫♫) 14:09, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

In case you are not aware, Cylonhunter, User:DvDknight nominated you for adminship here, and filled out your answers for you (poorly). I expect the nomination will be deleted soon. Keep up your good work here, and I hope that you are someday an adminstrator! PouponOnToast 14:28, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Right, apologies for my error in thinking that you'd accepted the RfA. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 14:32, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stratford Upon Avon High School

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Stratford Upon Avon High School) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Realkyhick 16:33, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Personal attacks will get you blocked

I quote from the attack message you left on my talk page:

let me tell you about nonsense you blithering idiot. You don't know a cats butt about Shakespeare and you probably do not even care, but please refrain from reverting my edits because I am watching you, you Alambamian.--Cylonhunter 21:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

This kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Continued conduct of this kind will result in you being blocked. This is your only warning. Realkyhick 21:30, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
