RR versus OR: I think there are hard rules. In a case-control studies I'm quite sure it is odds ratio and only the odds ratio-- because one cannot generalize to the population.

Any case, I think that last edits make the article weaker. Even if the statements may not hold in all cases-- the rules are a good general guide... not to mention that they are referenced. I reverted-- not least 'cause you left a dangling reference. Nephron 22:29, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

I think you will find that there are bots, such as User:Gdrbot, which will convert old style taxoboxes to newer style ones anyway. I was informed that WikiProject has used the newer style since its inception. Which is why I used it in my edit. -Dawson 17:13, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

I didn't see the lower taxobox border in Opera in the new version, although it was there in the old one. That's why I reverted the thing - Cyberodin

That seems to be a problem with all the newer style taxoboxes, even with the bot created ones. Perhaps its something that needs to be looked at by someone higher up. -Dawson 17:39, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Burka.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Thanks for uploading Image:Eastern_European_hedgehog.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. [edit] Help re Brandt's Hedgehog

I found a hedgehog in the Indian desert and put up photos on Talk:Hedgehogs. It was tentatviely identified as Brandt's Hedgehog. How can I be sure? Are there any distinct field characters to help distinguish it from Indian Hedgehog and Indian Long-eared Hedgehog? Can you help? Regards, AshLin 06:10, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

I noticed you restored the comment to the PFM-1 article. I made it quite clear in my edit summary that Jane's Mines and Mine Clearance 2005-2006 states of page 269 that the mine IS found in Chechnya. I need to check who Jane's claims as their sources. What was the exact quote again?

Well, OK, I've found 3rd-party sources, so you can surely change it back (when I have time, I might add a section myself, but I'm busy as hell Monday to Friday). However, for the record I have to say that I'm rather sceptical about "anonymous sources" per ce, since a lot of media coverage about Chechen war was quite biased. Not this one, but I've seen examples.

A tag has been placed on Image:Nagan.JPG, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This is not PD. The author of this image is A.B.Zhuk (author and illustator of "Encyclopedia of fire arms") and he died only in 2002
