[edit] Set details

The set contains 60 cards, including 4 Ultra Rares, 7 Super Rares, 14 Rares, and 35 Commons. Every Ultra, Super, and Rare card has an Ultimate Rare counterpart in the English language release.

[edit] Mechanics

Cyberdark Impacts includes cards used by Zane Truesdale and Chancellor Sheppard in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series. The Cyberdark cards of the former salvage Dragon-type monsters from the Graveyard of a predetermined level when successfully summoned, increasing their own ATK strengths by those belonging to the Dragons with which they are equipped and gaining one-time use protection against being destroyed through battle, while the Cyber-Style cards of the latter possess a wide range of effects. Further support is placed on the LV and Alien archetypes, and the set also incorporates two new strategies: Chain Link and Senet. Cards falling under the first category provide players with greater rewards depending on the number of cards activated in a single chain, while Monster Cards falling under the second can be physically moved to adjacent Monster Zone spaces.[1]

[edit] Notable cards

  • Vanity's Fiend - A monster that cannot be Special Summoned, but while face-up on the field, prevents the Special Summoning of all monsters.
  • Cyberdark Dragon - Fusion Summoned through the merger of Cyberdark Horn, Cyberdark Edge, and Cyberdark Keel, this card does not share the level inhibitor that its predecessors possess; it is able to equip a Dragon-type monster of any level to itself, and also gains an additional 100 ATK points for each Monster Card in its controller's Graveyard.
  • Cyber Ogre 2 - The most powerful "Cyber-Style" monster. Fusion Summoned through the merger of two Cyber Ogre cards, this monster's ATK strength increases by half the ATK strength of the monster with which it battles.
  • Instant Fusion - A Spell Card with a cost of 1000 Life Points, of which only 1 copy may be played per turn. It Special Summons a Fusion Monster from the player's Fusion Deck of level 5 or less, though the monster summoned through this effect cannot attack and is destroyed at the End Phase.
  • Justi-Break - A Trap Card that can be activated when a face-up Normal Monster is the target of an opponent's attack. It destroys all monsters other than Normal Monsters in face-up attack position.
