Cwmtawe is an english education school situated in Pontardawe. It teaches 11 - 16 year olds. The school has no sixth form. Cwmtawe has a very good GCSE figure, that is higher than the national standard in Wales and is regarded as one of the best schools in the UK. It is a very modern school with many awards. The school is split up into different blocks such as Humanities and Languages. The new building was built in 1996 and the old building is currently being used by the council. Cwmtawe recently won eco-schools award for environmently friendly schools. The school recently switched over to the lisol registration system.
