[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Close To You.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Close To You.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Reason To Believe 0001.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Reason To Believe 0001.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] main article space
Hi Cuyler91093. I moved your "fansite" back to your user page. It should not be in the main article space, as that is for encyclopedic articles. Cheers.--Bookandcoffee 17:56, 5 October 2006

[edit] Image:Bless the Beasts and Children - Make Your Own Kind Of Music 0003.jpg
This image was marked by you as GFDL. However, it's a screenshot of a tv program and there is no evidence that this has been released under GFDL. As such, I've changed the licensing on this image to {{tv-screenshot}}. Pending the supplying of evidence it has been released under GFDL, it is marked as a fair use image and thus can not be used on your userspace. Further, it's not used in any main namespace articles and is thus an orphaned image and subject to deletion seven days from now. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. --Durin 16:24, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Please stop adding fair use images to your userpage as you did here. Fair use images may not be used on your userpage per Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. If you have any questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. --Durin 22:44, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- As I explained above, the use of fair use images on userpages is not permitted per Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. The images that I have been removing from your page are non-free license images and may not be used on userpages. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. --Durin 21:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Karen and Richard MYOKOM.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Karen and Richard MYOKOM.png. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Durin 22:02, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I think we'll become the best of friends. The image I've uploaded was from a website that explained a whole lot about a television series I like. I don't know how he got the image, so you'll have to ask him about that. Thank you. --Cuyler91093 00:43, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bless the Beasts and Children - Make Your Own Kind Of Music 0003.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Bless the Beasts and Children - Make Your Own Kind Of Music 0003.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] AfD nomination of Saturday (Carpenters song)
An editor has nominated Saturday (Carpenters song), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saturday (Carpenters song) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Carpenters (album) commentary
I quote: "According to some users here on Wikipedia, the songs following were 'not notable,' thus they can't have their own individual pages." Very funny. There are several guidelines I considered pointing out that this violates (Is it really civil? Is it possible use of the article as a soapbox and/or to make a point?). However, I am assuming the very best of intentions here and will point you toward the guideline concerning self-references, which states that references to Wikipedia or the thoughts of Wikipedians should not be included in articles. Thanks! GassyGuy 19:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Use of fair use images on your userpage; final warning
Cuyler, five times now [1][2][3][4][5] I have removed images from your userpage that were placed there in violation of our policy on the use of fair use images on userpages at Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. As I have previously explained to you before (see User_talk:Cuyler91093#Image:Bless_the_Beasts_and_Children_-_Make_Your_Own_Kind_Of_Music_0003.jpg), you may not have fair use tagged images on your userpage. Despite your knowing this policy, you continue to violate it. I am therefore placing you on final warning regarding this issue. If you continue to place these images on your userpage in violation of our policy as noted above, I will temporarily block you from editing for willful violation of our fair use usage policy. I am happy to assist you if you have questions on this matter, but simply adding images to your userpage when you seem to not understand their fair use status is not an option. Ask me first, and I'll help you. Do not keep on violating this policy. Thank you, --Durin 21:58, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy Deletion Templates
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Someguy1221 19:35, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Downey's Musical Pride
The problem with your fan group is notability, as well as that there are no reliable sources cited to show any notability. Has your fan group received independent news coverage? If it's not mentioned by other reliable sources, it doesn't meet this encyclopedia's standards for inclusion. NawlinWiki 19:46, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Okay. Number 1) It doesn't have reliable sources even though I'm the owner and I know everything about my group? Number 2) No, we haven't been on the news, because we aren't a big corporate business. We're just a group that helps people congregate and talk. Three people are ganging up on me, nobody's supporting me, and I really feel like people are just blowing my group off just because there was no news coverage about it. Well, guess what! I'll keep fighting for my group, because it DESERVES TO BE HERE!!! - Karen Carpenter's Biggest Fan 19:51, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not to mention, you know nothing about my group. - Karen Carpenter's Biggest Fan 19:51, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- (1) Wikipedia:Attribution is one of the three principal official guidelines of Wikipedia. If your group can't meet it because you're the only source, then it doesn't get an article. Simple as that. Whether or not you think it "deserves" to be here.
-
- (2) You're absolutely right -- I personally know nothing about your group. That's why you need third-party reliable sources. Otherwise, we'd be basing everything on the word of the authors of each article, and this encyclopedia wouldn't have any reliability at all. NawlinWiki 19:56, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Fine. Delete it. I don't care. Whatever. You guys aren't fair. Wikipedia should really choose more reasonable, pragmatic people to be the moderators. Not heartless people who thinks it's okay to delete someone else's article just because they don't think it's reliable.

[edit] "User:Cuyler91093/You suck"
I have deleted the above page as being a nonsense/attack page. It was becoming the subject of a long discussion on miscellany for deletion and it was ridiculous to continue that over two words. I do, however, want to urge you to continue contributing to Wikipedia, as all our contributors are valued. Regards, Newyorkbrad 23:59, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry. I was just really mad at that time. I will contribute minimally. But what's the point if only one person (you) thanks me for contributing, and everybody else gangs on me with "Delete this page, because it's nonsense" stuff. I understand where you were coming from. Thanks for supporting me, yet I still won't contribute much to Wikipedia. Karen Carpenter's Biggest Fan 05:44, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:EL
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in The Carpenters. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -- Scientizzle 07:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- OMG. Aren't you damn moderators supposed to be checking for factual correction instead of trying to delete other people's hard work? I mean, come on. My teacher told me that 30% of Wikipedia's information is factually incorrect. So you should stop trying to delete my hard work and start looking for incorrect facts!! That's what's been pissing me off about Wikipedia lately. Karen Carpenter's Biggest Fan 07:14, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- You mean like the factual inaccuracy you added to Reese's Peanut Butter Cup? Please read Wikipedia:External links: "Links to blogs and personal web pages" are "to be avoided". The link you keep adding to The Carpenters, "Roland Chayer.com : The Van Karen Life - Carpenters Multimedia Forum" is a multimedia forum which is inapproriate for a Wikipedia link. -- Scientizzle 07:39, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, exactly like I did with the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup page.

Hi. Just a note. Such templates should go to the very bottom of articles, after external links. I also have a suggestion. It is good to use an edit summary when you contribute, it helps others understand what you changed. Thanks and enjoy the wiki. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 04:34, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
