[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 20:15, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Marble Brewery
I can fix the refs if nobody else does. It'll be tomorrow (Sat) though. Regards, Mr Stephen 15:27, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. If you want to play (use a sandbox), have a look at the ref element, section 4 'how it works'. Then, if you like, move on to 'template:cite web' here, but that simply formats the reference in a certain manner. Regards, Mr Stephen 17:13, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- See how you like that. I've made one or two changes to avoid copyvio problems; feel free to improve the English. You had forgotten to add <references/>, so you didn't get the bibliography at the end. Regards, Mr Stephen 13:51, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Help
Regarding the page Trevor Lock, I have just removed an untrue and potentially damaging statement which was added by an unregistered user - is it possible to vandal proof the page, or does this have to be done by an admin? Is this an appropriate case for vandal blocking?
(I have attached a reference within the page to the only reported news article on the matter, and have been unable to find any other sources).
- Edit-locking pages is something that we do rarely on Wikipedia, and I'm not sure this page would qualify. The best way to combat vandalism is to add the page to your watchlist to monitor the recent changes to it, and then revert any vandalism you see. You can use appropriate warning templates on the vandal's talk pages, and if particular users get out of line, you can request administrator intervention. I hope that's helpful! -- Merope 13:52, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- It is indeed! I've added the page to my watchlist to keep an eye out, and I'll bear the other points in mind. Thanks for the quick response :) Curiousbadger 14:05, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Whaling.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Whaling.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:12, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for letting me know, have now tagged the image as "book cover". Curiousbadger 22:24, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Brevity ... is wit.
A good edit at Alan Moore by you, I thought. A great writer but a rambling article. Fred.e 16:25, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

- Now I know about Stewart Lee. As indeed I should, if only because he writes about the Fall. His work sounds too good to ever be on Aus TV. Fred.e 11:24, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
