Curzon Ashton F.C.

Curzon Ashton F.C. are a football club whose home ground is the Tameside Stadium, Richmond Street Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, England, formed in 1963 after the merger of two clubs, Curzon Road F.C. and Ashton Amateurs F.C.

In the 1978-79 season, they joined the Cheshire County League Division Two as founder members and the following season, they were semi-finalists in the FA Vase. Curzon's best ever league finish came in 1995-6, when they finished 4th in the Northern Premier League First Division (a division that they were founder members of in 1987) under the guidance of former Warrington Town boss, Derek Brownbill. Their all-time record goalscorer is Rod Lawton.

They are current members of the North West Counties Football League Division One and managed by Gary Lowe. On Saturday March 3rd 2007, they beat Leamington FC 4-1 to reach the semi-final of the FA Vase for the second time in their history.
