Currimundi is a suburb of Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. It was named by Sir Leslie Wilson, in which he used the local aboriginal name for the area, Garrimundi or Girrimundi, meaning Place of flying foxes. ^[1]
