Curious Pictures, originally Mail and Guardian Television is an entertainment company. It specializes in television producers, film production, television company, and digital film editing. The head are David Jammy and Harriet Gavshon. It produces Codename: Kids Next Door.

Curious Pictures (www.curiouspictures.com) is the largest animation studio in New York and the home to award winning creators of animated TV series, commercials and celebrated characters in picture books. Curious currently produces the top-rated pre-school series Little Einsteins for Playhouse Disney, and has produced such hit shows as Codename: Kids Next Door and Sheep in the Big City for Cartoon Network, A Little Curious for HBO and Avenue Amy for Oxygen TV. Most recently, the studio produced almost thirty minutes of innovative motion-capture animation for the documentary Chicago 10, which opened the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. Among the many awards garnered by Curious Pictures’ directors are 18 Emmy Awards and two Caldecott Honors (presented to top illustrators of children’s books). Four of its TV spots are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Leveraging its multiple strengths in animation, design, production and brand strategy, Curious has created successful branded entertainment for Mattel and AOL, as well as commercials for hundreds of global marketers. Its roster of award winning live-action and animation directors includes Eric Fogel, Stefan Nadelman, Ugly Pictures, Steve Oakes, Saul & Elliot, Tom Warburton and Mo Willems. The company was founded in 1993 by partners Susan Holden, Steve Oakes, David Starr and Richard Winkler.
