Coordinates: 22°37′35″S, 46°38′57″W Cunha is a city in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2003 is 22,975, its density is 16.33/km² and the area is 1,407 km². The first inhabitants arrived in the beginning of the 18th century. The municipality was founded in 1785, it was elevated to a city in 1858.
