The Cumberland Islands are a group of 70 islands on the Great Barrier Reef, off coast from Mackay, Queensland, Australia. The Cumberland Islands are located at 20°34′S 149°08′E. The Cumberland Islands were discovered by Captain James Cook in 1770.

The Cumberland Islands were broken into the Whitsunday Group, the Lindeman Group, the Anchor Islands and the Sir James Smith Group.
