Cultured marble
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cultured marble is a mixture of resin and ground marble. It is less expensive alternative to natural marble. [1]
Manufacturers of cultured marble can make vanities with integrated bowls. This eliminates grount lines around the bowl.
The manufacturing process uses a non-porous gelcoat on the counters and sinks. This gelcoat seals the product and prevents mold and bacteria growth and staining. [2]
