Cullman Middle School

Cullman Middle School provides education for grades 7&8. The middle School has received much state recognition for the 1:1 Laptop Initiative proposed by Jan Harris. The Initiative started in 2006 by providing the entire school's students with a laptop computer for homework, school work, and research. The initiative will continue in 2007 with Cullman High School. The Middle school is the largest and most prominent in the county of Cullman. The school is currently led by Principal Jayne Barnett with Vice Principal Tim Lovless.

In the 2005-2006 school year, the middle school's Scholars Bowl Team won the Regional North Alabama Tournament. The school also has several high achieving students. Waid Harbison attends Cullman Middle School and is notable for being a published author. He has had a book signing with the school. The school also has a very talented artist, Britney Wix. Her art is displayed on a billboard in Cullman in support of the "What Did You Read Last Night" program.
