[edit] History

Like many successful Internet projects CubeCart (originally named "eStore") started as a personal project after the author, Alistair Brookbanks graduated from Loughbrough University in 2002. Since then its popularity has grown exponentially and its name was changed to CubeCart due to the fact "eStore" was considered anonymous.

CubeCart received some external interest from other large companies and as a result a London based lawyer suggested that it would be a good idea to register CubeCart and setup a company behind it. Devellion Limited (UK Registered Company #5323904) was incorporated in February 2005 and CubeCart is now a registered trade mark of the company.

[edit] The Future

CubeCart is being continually developed to help individuals and businesses realize their full potential utilizing a firm grasp of the latest Internet technologies and by listening to store administrator/consumer needs.

At present CubeCart 3.1 is in the process of development and the developer has set up a blog to chart the progress of development and to gain feedback from current CubeCart users.

N.B. CubeCart is in no way related to, affiliated to or derived from any other Open Source store software.
