Cuban Wood Snake

Cuban Wood Snake (Tropidophis melanurus) is a snake species found in Caribbean and in South America. The Cuban Wood Snake can exceed 36 inches in length, however most remain between 12 to 24 inches. Wood snakes have a defensive ability of expelling blood from their mouth, nares and eyes when disturbed.
Feeding on lizards and amphibians in the wild, specimens in captivity can be switched to a diet of rodents.
