[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Energy development

Could I get you to chime in on the poll here? I appreciate it. It represents a sticky ongoing question. Tom Haws 06:39, Mar 2, 2005 (UTC)

Merge with Wikipedia:WikiProject energy please. And put on Wikipedia:WikiProject list.

[edit] Books

Hey thanks for helping out with the list of new york books. I'm trying to make it exhaustive.

[edit] Template:Law connections

Hi, you created this template, but seem to have given up on it. I'm planning to list it for deletion since I guess you gave up on it and it will never be used. Since you seem to be away, I'm going to leave this up for a while waiting for your comment first. Mozzerati 08:02, 2005 Apr 1 (UTC)

Go for it, I am also responding on your talk page. Ctrl buildtalk 15:08, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] TfD nomination of Template:Sig-2004IOEQ

[edit] Thank you and Button Comments?

Thank you for your work! It is unfortunate that the debate about the 2005 Atlantic Hurricane Season bar has caused you to want to take an extended break; hopefully, you will feel you can come back fairly soon. You might be interested that I have tried to improve a bit on the bar and produce perhaps a compromise version; you may see it currently at User:AySz88/Sandbox and comment if you wish. Anyway, a well-deserved thank you for your work on producing the bar, and I hope to see you around soon! AySz88^-^ 04:25, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Buildings

I noticed you making a whole lot of building stubs on future buildings. They're all getting flagged as speedy delete as empty articles - you may want to add some actual information to the page. --Bachrach44 21:44, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikistress

Saw you were stressed...
align=left So here's a cute little kitty and a plate of cookies for you! align=right
Best wishes! Don't let the stress get to you!

[edit] 2003 Atlantic hurricane season/Buttons

Not quite sure what this is but it looks like a temp page. Any objection to deleting it? --W.marsh 06:42, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

It might be useful to be kept for later when we finally figure out the 2005 bar's look. --AySz88^-^ 08:10, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Buffy in Space

Hiya.

Nice Buffy addition!

I was gonna tweak it a teensy bit, but was stymied by the fact that I don't know what it means :-)

Recently, as of 2005, there was a Trans-Neptunian object 2004 XR190 named unofficially for the main character of the series. The official name cannot be Buffy under current astronomical naming conventions if 2004 XR190 is considered a plutino it must be named for a deity of creation. (See 2003 UB313 (Xena))

I'm note sure how to parse that penultimate sentence:

The official name cannot be Buffy under astronomical naming conventions if Foo is considered a Bar it must be named for a deity of creation.

Is that:

The official name cannot be Buffy under astronomical naming conventions if Foo is considered a Bar. It must be named for a deity of creation."

or:

The official name cannot be Buffy under astronomical naming conventions. If Foo is considered a Bar it must be named for a deity of creation.

Or something else? The articles I read seemed to suggest that the official name must be that of a creation deity or an underground deity, neither of which fit Buffy, though the former could just about fit Willow in "Chosen", and the latter could fit Glory.

[edit] Template:Primary

Hi, I'd like to know whether we could have this (unused) template for the WP:D Primary topic pages, and maybe you could use {{Primary source}} instead? It would fit better into the existing naming scheme.

--William Allen Simpson 10:08, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Go ahead. --Ctrl build 18:19, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Henry Krumb School of Mines

I presumes you created the Article, entitled Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. So can you tell me why there is nothing on the Henry Krumb School of Mines, also a Division of Columbia University, n'est pas? Yours truly, Ludvikus 21:38, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks for your explanation:
That Henry Krumb School of Mines
is a sub-department of the
Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Can you see to it that the explanation is refected in the [[article]}?
I need that for Sultan Catto.

[edit] Energy portal

[edit] Orphaned public domain images

The following images were uploaded by you, but are currently not in use. They have been tagged as public domain (PD), either as PD-self or other PD claim, or equivilant. These unused PD images may be subject to deletion as orphans. You may wish to add them to an article, tag them for copying to WP commons {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} or if they are no longer needed, they can be nominated for deletion by following the easy three step process at Images and media for deletion. If you have any questions, please leave me a note on my talk page. --Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 16:16, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] addLoadEvent

Hi, one of your user scripts uses the addLoadEvent( func ) function (see [1]). This function will be removed from MediaWiki:Common.js soon. Please modify your scripts to use addOnloadHook( func ) instead. —Ruud 18:26, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Wikigrowth.xls listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Wikigrowth.xls, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in its not being deleted. Thank you. —Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 02:06, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of 1st Street (Manhattan)

I've nominated 1st Street (Manhattan), an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that 1st Street (Manhattan) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1st Street (Manhattan) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of 1st Street (Manhattan) during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. talk to Ytny 05:56, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

I have also nominated 2nd Street (Manhattan), 3rd Street (Manhattan) and 13th Street (Manhattan) together. talk to Ytny 05:58, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Kscaleprojections.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Kscaleprojections.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:26, 16 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vaya 15:26, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Energy portal & future selected articles

Hi! Over the past couple of months I've been spending much more time than I should developing the Energy portal, and intend asking for a portal peer review within the next day or so.

The portal provides a showcase for energy-related articles on Wikipedia. One of the most prominent ways is via a the selected article that is currently changed every 6 weeks or so. It would be good to increase this turnover, and with three Wikiprojects dedicated to energy-related topics and a good number of articles already written, I'd like to suggest that members of each Wikiproject might like to use the 'selected article' to feature some of their best work.

With this in mind, I'd like to suggest that your Wikiproject bypasses the normal selected article nomination page and decides collectively which articles are worth featuring - or these may be self-evident from previous discussions - and add short 'introduction' to the selected article at the appropriate place on page Portal:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, which includes further information. Your personal involvement would be welcome!

Please make any comments on your Wikiproject talk page, my talk page, or on Portal talk:Energy/Selected article/Drafts, as appropriate. Gralo 15:23, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:HumanExpansion.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:HumanExpansion.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 17:06, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
