- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

[edit] Video categorization
Hi! I see we both happen to be doing video categorization at the moment. I'm skimming pretty fast though the articles, though, so if I categorize something in Category:Video and movie technology that is better subcategorized in Category:Video storage, feel free to recategorize. --Gary D 22:53, Sep 2, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Platinum
Hi! Thanks for the nice Platinum article. However, I have revised it and removed the references to the yet-to-be-released Tiger style, which as far as I know Apple has not committed to. — David Remahl 21:13, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] SVideoConnector.jpg moved to Commons
I moved your image Image:SVideoConnector.jpg to Commons to use it in other languages; I copied the copyright information. I'm adding {{ifd}} to it to remove the duplicate in the 'en' server.
[edit] Poor Image
Clicking on a thumbnail only to get this hilariously small image http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Tiger_Screenshot_with_Apps.png made me angry.
[edit] Licensing fixed up at wikicommons
Hi! I just fixed up the licensing at wikicommons on Image:SVideoConnector.jpg. It might be a good idea for you to log into the commons with an account from now on, then {PD-user} would work without redlinks... As it was, I had to do a workaround:
{{PD-author|[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/user:ctachme en.user:ctachme]}}
Just place links on your user pages there to your pages here like most everyone else on the commons... It's certainly a good place to be involved if you like images! Best regards // FrankB 21:51, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:IChat 3 QT Demo.png
Thank you for uploading Image:IChat 3 QT Demo.png. However, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 21:59, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:IChat 3 QT Demo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:IChat 3 QT Demo.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 22:02, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
