That article looks terrific. Absolutely marvelous. That original was a bit short, but I have to tell you, I was having second thoughts about deleting it since I seem to have incurred the wrath of another user over a similar issue. Love the user name! Gotta run, but have a terrific weekend. - Lucky 6.9 22:01, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Hastings Wise mugshot.jpg
I'm not sure I agree with the assertion that since this image is a mugshot then it is public domain. The image will be been created by a member of the South Carolina law enforcement, which would mean that its copyright is held by the government of South Carolina. There is probably a good fair use argument though for using the image. Evil Monkey∴Hello 19:51, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

Did you follow the instructions when you put the vfd tag on Folkies? Just putting the tag on the page does not work.--Srleffler 06:35, 24 December 2005 (UTC)

I'm working on a page about her, she's been on CSPAN and is in publications, Speedy Delete was a little ruthless, what will it take for you to be satisfied it is not a vanity article.--M4bwav 20:15, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect: Ethmoid Hematoma
Thanks for correcting this redirect, CrypticBacon. Its the first time I have laid a redirect in WP, and forgot to list the article I wanted it to go to as a wikilink... Thanks again. Thor Malmjursson 00:23, 17 February 2006 (UTC) Thor's Pet Yack

I'm fine with you rephrasing the copyright, but that user put the same spam link in another article 3 times tonight, twice after being left a note so I wish you wouldn't erase that. pschemp | talk 07:43, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- oh never mind...I see you put it on the userpage instead of the talk page...I'll move it. (for consistency). sorry. pschemp | talk 07:45, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

You create an article on the Limber and prod Benedict Romeo?? Holy Toledo. --Nemonoman 08:04, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
Is google searching now the standard by which human achievement is judged...Do articles only belong in WP if they return adequate Google results...Do you really want your efforts judged that way?
I should say that a person twice elected mayor is reasonably notable, or I would not have started the article to begin with. --Nemonoman 08:28, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
Bsed on your comments I have redirected to Cresskill. However, I've been looking into the Limber, now that I ran into it. I sort of think your article might better be moved to the Wiktionary. Your thoughts?--Nemonoman 00:30, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Asset recovery
Thanks for your contribution, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and NPOV. Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the Sandbox to get started. I hope you can help us out! - ulayiti (talk) 10:52, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I found you proposal to move flagship vehicles to a list excellent. It should defenitely be list of flagship vehicles, since that was my intend to give people how want to know what flagship vehicles are a list of flagship vehicles. Unfortunately I don't really have the know-how on how to do that and would apreciate your input, Thank you very much. Signaturebrendel 17:30, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Hey. I've replied at the AfD. I'm not opposed to having your redirect stand, but also unwilling to close the AfD with an outcome of redirect when consensus is almost fully towards delete. Either way, thanks for being bold and working to improve Wikipedia :)

CrypticBacon, thanks for taking interest in Kobasicijada. It's actually a rather big local festival and I hope notability is established in the article now. I hope to collect more sources in the following days and try to expand the article. --dcabrilo 05:21, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

When you add a {{copyvio}} tag to an article, you should add in the URL or source of the original text after a |. For example, {{copyvio|http://www.dictionary.com/example.html}}. Thanks! Stifle 11:06, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ah! So that's how it's done. I'll remember it in the future. Thanks again! :-) CrypticBacon 12:43, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Earle Bruce bio photo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Earle Bruce bio photo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Anna_Wolkoff.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Anna_Wolkoff.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Ahab Rex
A tag has been placed on Ahab Rex, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Paul 22:00, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Stephen_Barrett_MD_Quackwatch.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Stephen_Barrett_MD_Quackwatch.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hbdragon88 04:21, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Rick Tolley biography 1970 football guide.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Rick Tolley biography 1970 football guide.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
