[edit] Confused

I'm no expert on this at all, but i was under the impression that the LCDR built its railway , couldn't get access to the SER's North Kent Line so extended to Bromley South where it connected to the existing WE&CPR which connected to the "union" station that was Victoria. From the brief stub that is the article in its current form it convey a completely different impression (that it is some small branch line). Any enlightenment on this would be appreciated. Reading Upper Sydenham railway station, the detail on this page should be about Crystal Palace and South London Junction Railway ***not*** the West End and Crystal Palace Railway Pickle 15:08, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
I am no railway history expert but from my local history researches in the Streatham/Norwood areas, I think that there should be two articles:
The first should correctly be titled West End of London and Crystal Palace Railway and should relate to the line built between Battersea and Sydenham via Streatham Hill and Crystal Palace Low Level, subsequently extended to Bromley via Shortlands, and mostly operated by the LB&SCR in later years.
Most of the text of the current article, as noted above, should be in a separate article about the CP&SLJR and would relates to the branch line from Crystal Palace High Level which was subequently operated by the LCDR. --Lang rabbie 20:42, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Probably the simplest solution then, would be:
The question is, do we have any info on the West End railway?Regan123 23:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree with you, but i have no sources of information available so was floating for someone more knowledgeable to stick their head above the parapet! Pickle 17:32, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
According to this page it was a line, not a railway. I'm no expert but I will try and put a stub together and move the article. Regan123 20:22, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Map

A map / diagram showing the line in its local context would be nice, some info here at kentrail.co.uk Pickle 16:08, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
