Talk:Crystal Palace/Images
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am going to add more pictures soon of: The Base of the South Tower, North Tower, Aquarium, More of the terraces o and orangery wall and remains of higher level station.
Can I have your comments on this page?

OK, here you go. Our Wikipedia:Image use policy frowns on displaying larger images on image description pages. You can have a link to the large image on image description pages but it has to be in the form of Image:Great Horned Owl.USFWS.jpg (notice the preceding colon). You can link the larger image from within the explanatory text you have in the table like so: [[media:Great Horned Owl.USFWS.jpg|larger image]], which looks like: larger image --mav
I dont quite get your fist point. :-s the (:image:ahjsahj.something) bit - Fonzy
- I provided an example for you. --Mav
- Thank you I do like that better
- No problem at all. --Mav
What do you think though of making this a new way to display photos on Wikipedia? - Fonzy
- It's already part of the policy. But IMO still letting people display images on image description pages leads people to do exactly what you did first. --Mav
No I didnt mean that :-s I meant how I have added many pictures of one subject in a table. With a comment at the bottom. it could be done for images of the UK, USA.
Should this page be moved to: Images of Crystal Palace ?
That sounds like a better name to me. Go for it. --mav
