Crystal Peaks is a shopping centre in Sheffield, England. It was the city's largest shopping centre until Meadowhall was built in 1990. Crystal Peaks possessed the largest cinema complex in the city, UCI, until the construction of a Virgin Cinemas at Valley Centertainment and has since been demolished. A Sainsbury's supermarket, moved from Meadowhall's Sava Centre, recently opened and houses the largest TU clothing range in the UK[citation needed]. An extension has recently been built to the rear of the main shopping centre.

[edit] Shopping centre
The centre is small compared to the Meadowhall shopping centre but it features quite a few high street stores and popular fast food restaurants. Also across the road there is a large retail park. An unusual part of the centre is that it has a market inside unlkike most shopping malls around the uk.
In addition to the seventy-five expected high street retailers there is also a 100-stall indoor market and the nearby Drake House retail park.
The shopping centre doesn't have as many larger-brand stores as Meadowhall, but it features big names such as JJB, Next, Burton and Top Shop. The centre also has 2 supermarkets with Iceland and the new large Sainsbury's.
[edit] Transport connections
The shopping centre, situated in the Southeast of Sheffield, is served by the M1 and Mosborough Parkway. A bus station and the Sheffield Supertram irrigate access to the centre, linking it to Sheffield and Beighton.
