[edit] Uploaded images
I noticed you have uploaded images of Francesca Hawkins and Carla Fotheringham, and tagged them with:
I, the creator of this work, hereby grant the permission to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts.
Subject to disclaimers.
Unless you are the creator of the images (i.e., unless you took the pictures yourself) you cannot tag them with GFDL-Self (please read the link in the text above). The picture of Francesca appears to be from a newspaper article, while the one of Carla appears to be a publicity photo. While you may be able to make a case for fair use, you can't tag them as GFDL-Self. In addition, please supply a source for the images. Thanks. Guettarda 21:39, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Add the sources of the images and I'll try to come up with a fair-use rationale. Guettarda 21:43, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, done. Also - I assume you're a Trini? You might want to check out Wikipedia:Caribbean Wikipedians' notice board. Guettarda 00:27, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Magellam.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Magellam.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Category:Living people
I noticed you removed this category from the Colleen Holder article. I just wanted to let you know that this category is supposed to be on all articles about living people, as a way of (hopefully someday) monitoring articles about living people to avoid libel and the like. And thanks for all the good work on TT media articles. Guettarda 18:58, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. It isn't a big deal. I just thought I'd explain to you why I was undoing your change. Guettarda 05:40, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] TTT (network)
Someone started the above article - I was wondering if you could have a look at it and try to bring it up to standard a little. Thanks. Guettarda 15:29, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks - I had mentioned it to Sylvestter as well. Guettarda 14:35, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nanton
The article is at Samson Nanton, but he's called Sampon Nanton in the article. I noticed that Guardian uses both spellings, although the Express (which, as his former employer probably knows better) uses Sampson. Should it be Sampson? Guettarda 18:46, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- Interesting. I hadn't realised that. Guettarda 14:36, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re [1]
The information may well be accurate, but it cannot be added to a Wikipedia article without a credible source. Actually, all information in Wikipedia articles should be referenced, as described in Wikipedia:Verifiability. However, unreferenced negative biographical information about living people is heavily disfavored by Wikipedia:Verifiability:
Biographies of living people need special care because biographies containing unsourced material might negatively affect someone's life and could have legal consequences. Remove unsourced material about living persons immediately if it could be viewed as criticism, and do not move it to the talk page.
Please do not add this information to the article again unless a credible source is provided. Thank you. John254 20:17, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Francescahp.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Francescahp.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Mostbeautifulwoman.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mostbeautifulwoman.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:15, 15 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 16:15, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Mostbeautifulwoman.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Mostbeautifulwoman.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Yamla 16:15, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Mostbeautifulwoman.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mostbeautifulwoman.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 16:15, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Francesa pic
I see you have uploaded a new image at Image:Francescahp2.jpg. You have not, however, changed the licensing on the article. This needs to be updated to reflect the change. If you need help with this, let me know. Thanks. Guettarda 20:19, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Did you take the picture? If you did, then you can release the picture under the GFDL, which is the preferred license. You can add {{GFDL}} to the page. Guettarda 00:47, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- Oh, I see. Then you just need to change the text on the image page to reflect this. Guettarda 13:51, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
