Talk:Crunch (exercise)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

hate to see ugly pictures of ugly people performing exercices... LOL With all the nice women out there, its a shame to have those pictures ruin wikipedia what do the people out there think? Zewill 14:13, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Bit hard to tell really. At least she's trying. Perhaps it just that top she's wearing. I'll agree it's not terribly flattering. She probably looks fine when she goes out. What you really want is a gym-babe, just it's so hard to find them doing any exercises. Elchoco 17:17, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

In fact, I just followed the link to 'swiss ball' and there she is again. I reckon she made her husband take these photos. I'd leave them. Haven't you come across the Dove soap advertising campaign? One of my out-of-shape friends was telling me how successful it's all been in portraying women how they 'really' are. Bless 'em Elchoco 17:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

The hell kind of discussion is this? It doesn't matter what she looks like; what's important is the crunch, which is actually related to the article unlike this discussion. StealthHit06 23:32, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] “…sometimes called a curl-up”?

Isn't a curl-up done from an inverted hanging position? --— Poga — 13:36, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Crunch Rest Period

In most weightlifting exercises, you are supposed to wait at least a day to allow your muscles to rest and rebuild. Does this apply to calisthenics also? Should you wait a day before performing crunches again, if you do them in large sets (100+)? Rayman123 02:16, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
