[edit] Spoken article quality assessment
Version reviewed: 09:14, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Technical quality: Medium
- This recording has been encoded to Ogg Vorbis at 96 kb/s, not 48 kb/s per recording guidelines. Reducing the "Quality" setting to minimum when encoding to Ogg Vorbis will usually achieve 48 kb/s. The result will be very little loss in voice quality, but a significant decrease in file size, which is important for ease of downloading and other reasons.
- Beginning at section "Asian powers/South Asia/India", voice is moderately louder and minor breathing and breath-on-microphone noise is evident; speaking slightly too closely to microphone.
Clarity: High
Accuracy: High
- Except for:
- Section "Geographical scope": "Loxodonta (africana) pharaoensis". This might be better pronounced as far-oh-en-sis rather than far-oh-nee-sis.
- Section "Asian powers/South Asia/India": The text "he mistakenly believed to be critical of his reign" read as "he mistakenly believed to be critical of his religion".
Help with recording issues can be obtained under "Recording assistance" here.
Information on the assessment procedure can be found on the spoken article assessment page.
