Regarding Tony Eury, Jr.
I have removed the notability tag and expanded the article for Tony Eury, Jr.. Eury, Jr. is notable for being the crew chief of (arguably) NASCAR's most popular NEXTEL Cup driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. There are many other articles for NASCAR crew chiefs, including some that are considerably less notable than this one. There is some difficulty with collating information about Eury, Jr. because he is a private man and little is known about him at this time, besides his connection to the famous Earnhardt family. -- Scjessey 19:44, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
what are you talking about?
first that was in the discussion page so who cares? secondly i wasn't attacking an individual so it wasnt a "personal attack" (you see that word personal right? that means it would have to be an attack at an individual but it was vague so within guide lines) you took it personally so i think they need to amend the discussion guidelines to: "don't take it personally if someone has different views than you, keep a cool head and don't message someone when you are still inside your initial reaction and pelt that user with one-off random-per messages with quotes of non-applicable rules..." 67.23.125.138 21:16, 30 November 2006 (UTC)-c
so i guess i was talking about you when i used the term tight-ass well let me apologize because i didn't mean to target you that was just an expression of implication, see i meant it in a way that implied no one is a "publisher" here so one shouldn't push their hierarchy of views/ways/means down everyones throat this is not a dictatorship the rules for wiki were created to enable the free exchange of ideas, terms and information not inhibit what can and can't be exchanged. so maybe i should have used the term totalitarian or perhaps middle-american-bible-thumper but in any case it still wasn't and isn't a personal attack of any type and as far as civility is concerned: i didn't have anything to do with that article before today and i am sticking up for the people whos work, views & intentions was overwritten with utter bilge and so i contest that it is in fact un-civil to edit and destroy an article you know nothing of and more over edit any article for any reason but to add clarity or remove inaccuracies this article was reversed vandalised and judging by what your showing me here with your demeanor i would say it was probably by you (with out trudging through the history of course) if not straighten up and act right (destruction of information == wrong :: if you don't like an article don't read it) 67.23.125.138 21:31, 30 November 2006 (UTC)-c
well why don't you take a little time out from "repeatidly banning my comments for no reason" and read you own scripture [WP:RPA] 67.23.125.138 21:51, 30 November 2006 (UTC) -c
and there is limited profanity first of all and it is all neccasary, and as i said before it is in the discussion page and if you remove my comment once my i'm going to put you in check, if you don't like the way i communicate, TOUGH, go play with your barbie dolls for they will always be nice to you the wiki isnt your stomping grounds and you arent the wiki-police so take your ridiculous views and go sit in the corner with the old testament 67.23.125.138 21:55, 30 November 2006 (UTC) -c
The Sims: Life Stories
Thank you for your notice. Kindly note that I was not aware of the AfD entry and the article's history was accessible. I saw a link to it from the article The Sims where it is listed as one of the expansion titles. Shawnc 15:29, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Protection
Hi - you're welcome! I'm not 100% sure why it would disappear, but the biggest possibility I can see is that the action of applying the protection doesn't appear (for some reason) in the watchlist, whereas the subsequent edit to add the protection template does (am I right in that?). It certainly seems strange - perhaps something for the village pump? Martinp23 21:56, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
re: Mark Arminski
Thanks for the heads-up. The template US-artist-stub does in fact exist; however, us-artist-stub (note the capitalization) does not. Some alternate capitalizations have redirects, some don't, and this one must've slipped past me. Crystallina 04:03, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
ok, seriously
ok, ive tried twice to change the name on the Neurotically Yours page of the pizza delivery boy, i even sited it and you still deleted it. On the main website itself it says that his name is Anchovie. it isnt a big deal i just dont get why you keep changing it. heres the site, see for yourself. [1]
also, the whole "Your test of deliberately adding incorrect information worked" kinduv a dick thing to say, especially when the information was correct --Nicmunsch 08:45, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

You're right, although only an edit conflict with you stopped me from commenting further. I just wanted a rollback, going to do other things now, taking it to P's talk. Thanks again. - 152.91.9.144 04:46, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Crossmr, could you be any more specific re: your comment on your Talk page? I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Thanks. Moncrief 19:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
As far as "enforcing consensus" goes, the three-revert rule usually does an okay job of dealing with this in most low-level edit wars. If it gets more problematic than that, it may be time to escalate to an RfC to see whether that stops the problem there or if the dispute is such that it needs to go to arbitration. (ESkog)(Talk) 13:43, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- I think your reluctance to warn users about a conflict you're involved in is well-placed - it's always better to get a fresh set of eyes to look at the situation, and I'm glad to do it. I have already warned the user who violated 3rr, and also put a note on the article talk page to that effect. (ESkog)(Talk) 14:48, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up. I've left a note on the user's talk page that the discussion is probably getting too heated/uncivil and we should all probably take a step back. After all, it's just a question of whether a barely notable biography should include a timeline of events or not. Nothing on Wikipedia is worth getting in a fuss over in the long run, but this is threatening to border on WP:LAME. (ESkog)(Talk) 03:36, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
The isonews article
I can vouch thats the same person, as its me :) I'll revert because you had no way of knowing that but thanks for looking out for the article anyway, incedently the old link wasnt me (long story, one of my "fans" from isonews has been having some fun at my expense on wikipedia it seems), the new one I added was, you can feel free to verify by sending me a pm on isonews if you're in doubt. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 85.178.228.20 (talk) 15:27, 15 December 2006 (UTC).

- Here you go : http://www.theisonews.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1437663#1437663 , but like I said before, im ok not having a link but the old link went to a wiki profile that has nothing to do with me, I know exactly who it is but theres very little I can do about profiles created pretending to be me. 85.178.228.20 15:36, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- oh by the way, I'm going to edit that isonews article back to what it was before so let me know when you've seen it dude, I picked a pointless thread but dont see why it needs to remain like it currently is :P 85.178.228.20 15:47, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry bud, probably didnt make myself clear about the "changing back" thing, I meant the post I just linked to on isonews, I edited it specifically for the purpose of proving that the link on the wiki page was the same UncleMart from isonews (me), there was a time stamp left there so you could verify I edited the post on isonews, but I felt this was one way to verify with 100% certainty that it was me that just changed the link on wikipedia, however im going to change that post on isonews back (now you've seen it) because its going to look a little wierd if anyone else strays across that post ;) but like I said before, im fine with having no link where my nick is in the article also, I just saw that someone had been messing around on wikipedia using my nick (and I've seen that the isonews article has been REALLY messed with many times). Incedently the guy being a pain in the ass to me is a member of isonews who not only lives in the same country as me but annoying uses the same ISP as me so if theres anyone claiming to be me in future that cant edit one of my posts on isonews, its not me. I noticed that you've kept a good eye on the article though so I guess I should thank you, we have many idiots on isonews and they seem to think messing around with wiki articles is amusing.... Take care sir :) 85.178.228.20 16:00, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Calgary Wikipedia meetup
Frymaster has been talking to me about putting together another Calgary Wikipedia meetup. Unfortunately, our discussion got sidetracked so the date we had agreed to didn't get posted promptly. Anyway, we're still going ahead with it—so if you can accept short notice you may want to attend:
Sunday, December 17, 2006, 3:00pm, at Haymarket Café (1101 Macleod Trail SE). That's on the SW corner of Macleod Trail at 11 Avenue SE—just up from City Hall.
Thanks. —GrantNeufeld 20:09, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
First warning to cease removing the contributions of other editors.
WARNING: You keep removing contributions to the James Kim article. Please do not delete sections of text or valid links from Wikipedia articles. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. 07:19, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Comment: I have been watching the same article since it was created, and this user is NOT vandalizing the article. I think other people on the Talk page will attest to this as well. Tragic romance 11:04, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Not only does he keep removing removing contributions to the James Kim article, he is removing comments from the Talk page as well. Very very questionable. Jake b 19:46, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Re. Vandalism not evident
Thank you for contacting me. I did open that edit while checking his contributions but did not go down to the bottom as everything above seemed ok. Strange mix of good edit + vandalism. Anyway it is clear that the user was vandalizing so you did well in placing a bv warning on his talk page. Please report to WP:AIV again or contact me if he transgresses the warning. Regards.--Húsönd 21:03, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for reporting that user. I've left a no-personal-warnings reminder on his talk page. Will monitor. Regards.--Húsönd 21:20, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Crossmr, I agree with Husond's warning; I'll leave a second one as well. Let me know if there are any additional issues with incivility. -- Samir धर्म 21:22, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
I'll keep an eye on the IP as well. Regards.--Húsönd 21:27, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Position
Yes it appears i support your position (i did wonder about you being anti-timeline making no sense as 90% of biographies are timeline ordered, but you are just against timeline-in-a-timeline - i support). To be clear the same thing shouldn't be said 300 times. I don't like the section on the media's coverage either, coverage could be talked about in the article place in respect to the time said coverage was recieved, not in a separate section.--I'll bring the food 18:00, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Is werdnabot any good (off topic i know), when it archives does it do it every so often to the archive 5 page? Does it append to what's already there? Or does it rewrite over? How do you know when to make it a new archive page werdna should archive to? I've seen Werdnabot before but I'm not sure if I want it as I have unanswered questions. Is it reliable?--I'll bring the food 18:19, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have popups. I never noticed it told me the amount of space taken by a page. Like the 97KB taken up by that talk page you linked to. Thank you very much.--I'll bring the food 18:32, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Question + Answer
Gordon, I just wanted to ask for some clarification on your comment on Talk:James Kim. I certainly agree that what happened and when in regards to his death is important, but what do you feel calling it a timeline and bulleting it would provide something that the current section doesn't already James_Kim#Snowbound_with_family. The individual days are already longer than I think a timeline entry would be, so are you saying there should be a timeline section in addition to that section?--Crossmr 16:40, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Just a note, the scope of the straw poll has been clarified as there seemed to be some confusion over what was meant by support of the timeline.--Crossmr 17:56, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- I think a timeline would add to the appearance, but it is not absolutely necessary if you have that paragraph you showed me -Terri Schiavo's article probably has a separate time-line page, I seem to recall, but in Kim's case, it would not hurt to duplicate it if you like -his article is so small that a paragraph account AND a bullet-point time-line would both be ok -my opinion only.GordonWatts 20:21, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
You are sadly mistaking me for someone else with The Pre-Made Sims Characters
Im least likley to vandilise the Pre-Made Sims Page. I was one of the pages main contributors to the page i came up with the idea to list the Towns Pleasentview, Strangetown, and Veroniville with full summaries on the town's. I was actually watching over the page to keep an eye out for Vandilism just becuase there are infact alot of people that mess around with the page. Just becuase im not a registered user i still look out for this Website and try to prevent Vandilism if you dont beileve me check out my posting history you will be surprised. I was reverting mediocre edits that i wasnt to happy with and i frequentley watch over that page to prevent any uneccesary garbage posted on that page. The last thing i need is a warning when i am actually trying to clean up the page. Thats very discrediting having someone warn you about reverting edits but all im doing is keeping the page clean of unnecesary edits and vandilism.
Sincerly, 70.100.155.238 (talk • contribs)
- That Vandilism edit wasnt me it was mixed up with another users i came to tell you that before anything got out of hand i still advice you look at the message from me above.
-
- Crossmr if you just looked at my posting history you would see how much i contributed to that page. You cant say that every post from me is "Questionable" agian look at my posting history from October and November i was one of the original contributers and came up with the ideas to to summerize the three main towns. The questionable edits are the ones im trying to fix up that edit that happened yesterday had nothing to do with me further more not all of my edits in that article are "Questionable" i have been trying to clean up that page and keep it away from Vandilism so please understand i dont need to be questioned.
-
- P.S. Try looking at edits done by the users that i was reverting agianst they are more responsible for screwing up the Pre-Made Sims Page than me.
-
- Crossmr one more thing i want to mention about the Pre-Made Sims 2 Articles. As you may or may not know i do look out for the website for the best of intentions so the vandilism edit that happened must've gotten screwed up with someone elses edit. Just becuase im not a registered user im one of the few unregistered users that beileves in watching out for this website. You are getting me confused with someone else and here's why. First off im going to help you find vandilism from the articles.
I'll even help you find some of the pages worst an most uneccasary edits including these ones i copied and pasted on here for you to know quote "Caliente is Spanish for hot. According to a fan-made series listed on Sim-Movies.com, Dina's middle name is said to be Sierra. Although her astrology sign is "Sagittarius", her personality actually fits as a Libra" unquote here's another edit im not fond of quote "Also believed to have murdered 16 Sims who are all buried in her yard (Danielle Greaves [a Pizza Delivery woman], Lyla Grunt [mother of Tank, Ripp and Buck Grunt], a young woman named Mary Melons, a man named Patrick Jones, Lou Thanasia [Hugh's brother] and a woman called Vicki Sims). Most of the other people include her ex-husbands (Hugh Thanasia, Earl E DeMise [which he left Olive by altar], Rigger Mortis [a rich Sim], and Ichabod Specter). Most of her entire family clan (Willow [her sister] and Creon Nigmos [her sister's husband], Peponi and Lerato Muenda [her parents]). Works as a Professional Party Guest in Slacker track. Aspiration: Knowledge" unquote.
Here's another Uneccesary edit quote "She is possibly one of the more nicer and most playful sims in the neighborhood. Dina aspires of making it big, and her favourite foods are chocolate, as her profile suggests. She is in love with Mortimer Goth and has a growing crush on Don Lothario, with possible intentions to assume control of Mortimer's fortune. Also formerly married to (now deceased) Michael Bachelor, who, strangely, was Bella's (Mortimer's wife's) brother" unquote. That's only a few edits that i try to get rid of i will say this agian i'm irritated by vandilism like any other Registered User is and there just happens to be obsessive idotic and annoying contributers that just happen to post Uneccesary garbage on the Pre-Made Sims Aricle. Which happens to be many young obsessive fans of The Sims 2 or just people sneaking into the Article that want to post false or overdone unneccesary information.
Also dont think im telling you to do your job im just locating unnecesary edits that i've noticed while reading this article.
Sincerly 70.100.155.238

Inconsistencies in Star Trek canon
Do you know anywhere where something like this can be held on Wikipedia without it being an article? someone's talk page maybe? Would that be allowed? We can then have as much OR as we like, I'm thinking! Thanks. Magic Pickle 20:31, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Memory alpha won't have it either. So i can't just keep it indefinitely on my talk page? Magic Pickle 00:16, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi crossmr, I noticed a similar article - Inconsistencies in Gilmore Girls in your opinion is this worthy of an afd? I might get an afd up. Magic Pickle 19:46, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for that. you may also want to check List of continuity errors and anachronisms in M*A*S*H cheers. I would say that the Inconsistencies in Trek article seems to have been deleted because of lack of notability (highly subjective, admittedly) whereas your afd was more on the grounds of OR. Anyway, is it possible to afd Gilmore Girls on lack of notability? Thanks. Magic Pickle 20:29, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Actually re-reading the afd discussion - the admin who agreed for afd seems to imply he is doing it because of NOR, but most of the delete votes (including the nominee) put lack of notability as a key reason for delete. I wonder if afds can be called for on lack of notability alone? Hmm.Magic Pickle 20:39, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry to clog up your talk page , I take your point referencing WP: POINT but I'm not being or planning to be disruptive to wikipedia. We can assume that the successful afds called by yourself and the other nominee were correct and that the Trek articles deserved to be deleted. With this in mind, 'If you can't beat em join em' I can now help you pick out other articles which fall into similar traps and need deleting too. Thanks. Magic Pickle 20:48, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

AfD Nomination: The iSONEWS
I've nominated the article The iSONEWS for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that The iSONEWS satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The iSONEWS. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. Did you discover the social networking element? I signed up in the end, and it is buried so far deep. You can only make contact through individual profile pages - there's no master list of members to choose from with similar-to-our talk pages. That's maybe just a design beef however. I have to admit to it having a social networking element, but agree with you on what its primary purpose is, and then there's a sideshow, if you like.
