[edit] Can't See

I can't see the pictures in the gallery at Torrance high, I can only see the library on, but I can see all other pictures on the page. Can someone help me see them.

[edit] Gallery

{helpme} How do I make a gallery of pictures. I need help making one at Torrance High for the pictures at the end.

I responded where you used the other {helpme}, the gallery works fine for me.--Commander Keane 05:03, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Torrance High School part II

While your additions to the page were helpful, they also were a clear copyright violation as they copied information straight from the 2006 WASC report which I noticed as I was a part of the student committee. At least if you are to use Ms. Spradlin and Ms. Gassett's ideas at least reword them. 75.80.72.76 05:58, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Torrance High School

You should be careful when you create wikilinks in an article. Carson for example, goes to a disambiguation page, instead of going to what you expected, Carson, California. The naming standard for cities in the US is always "city, state". For example, the article for the city of L.A. is at Los Angeles, California. BlankVerse 11:48, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Help me

How do you post pictures on a page.--Croc 01:00, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Lets say for instance you wanted to ad the picture Image:USS Virginia.jpg to a page. You would add the code [[Image:USS Virginia.jpg|thumb|100px|right|Submarine]] to the page

Submarine
Submarine

and you would get the image on the right. if you remove the word thumb you loose the caption and adjusting the px size will make the image large or smaller and you can change the last part were submarine is to add the caption. To adjust the alignment just change right to left or center. You may want to check out. WP:Images hope this helps.— WilsBadKarma (Talk) 01:09, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pictures

I just uploaded a picture, but I don't know how to retrieve it because I forgot the name of it.

[edit] Pics

Sorry to bother you but how do you position a picture to the side of the text without moving the text.--Croc 01:27, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Your not bothering me. But I dont really know what you mean. Do you have an article with an example? Oh and I'm watching you page right now so for the time being when you respond you don't have to add helpme I'll see your reponse.— WilsBadKarma (Talk) 01:30, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] THS

Awesome work on Torrance High School! Great picture, and great information, but don't forget to summarize your edits in the edit summary box after every edit. Also, do I know you? Or do you know who I am? z ε n 02:09, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

I shifted the image down to the first paragraph, because articles don't usually have inline images in the lead paragraph. Also, sign your talk posts with four tildes (~~~~). z ε n 02:11, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User Page

{{helpme}} I want to make my user page more attractive by adding color and putting those rectangles that say things like "this user is a speaker of english". Can someone show me how to do this.

Those 'boxes' you speak of are called Userboxen (sing: Userbox), see WP:UBX for info and look for a link to a list of them. There are many, many of them ;)Deon555talkdesksign here! 01:28, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User Boxes

Can someone help me group my user boxes please. I would appreciate if you could do it for me please.

There you go, I hope that was what you wanted but I have a question. Why don't you transclude the userboxes instead of adding the code to your userpage? You can transclude the userbox by taking the name of the userboxes page like so and adding { around it. Like so: {{user html}} gets you:
<html> This user can write HTML.

[edit] Background

How do I add background color to my user page.

You will need to know the RGB code of the color you want to use and add this <div style="background-color: #E8EDFF; padding: 10px;"> to the very top of your userpage and replace the #E8EDFF with the color you want to use.— WilsBadKarma (Talk) 04:55, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
the best place to find the RGB jex code is here http://web.njit.edu/~kevin/rgb.txt.html just add a # to the beginning of the color code found under the RGB hex heading.— WilsBadKarma (Talk) 04:58, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
By the way the reason that the color isn't covering the entire page is that your not transcluding the userboxes from there actual page you will need to transclude them in order for it to work properly.— WilsBadKarma (Talk) 05:04, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Can someone please rearrange my user boxes so they are on the side of the crocidile picture and not underneath it. I would appreciate it if you could do it for me.

Give me a little better description and I can do it. You can look at my userpage if you want RED skunkTALK 01:34, 2 February 2007 (UTC) Please sign and date using four tildes

I want the userboxes in a nice row next to the picture of the crocidile like on your page. --Croc 01:57, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
