Croydon Arena

Croydon Arena is a multiple use sports arena in South Norwood in the London Borough of Croydon. The arena is located on the edge of South Norwood Country Park. Facilities include an eight lane 400m running track, with centre field and training area for throwing events. The stadium is floodlit, ideal for training at any time of year. During the winter the inner field becomes a football pitch, home to Croydon Football Club [1]. In the summer the stadium is mostly used for athletic events, hosting several large meetings such as the Surrey Athletic Championships and the occasional international event. The arena is used for special events as well as serious sports and training. The stands in the sports arena can hold up to 388 people.

Clients at the arena include many clubs for children and teenagers ranging from athletics club Striders of London [2] to football clubs along with male and female athletics club for all ages , all levels in Track & Field and Road & Country[3] Croydon Harriers [4]. As also said, the arena is home of Croydon Football Club - making it and Crystal Palace F.C. less than a mile away - and also is home of Croydon F.C. Youth. The arena is located in the London Borough of Croydon and is owned by Sport Croydon an arm of the council.

The stadium is also very easy to get to via Public Transportation. Arena tram stop for routes 1 and 2 is located right outside and is part of the Croydon Tramlink. The trams provides links to Croydon and very soon Crystal Palace where the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre is. The nearest railway station is Norwood Junction which provides fast services to London Bridge but an easier option for a station is Elmers End as it's also the terminus for tramlink route 1 services.
