Crotiques is the first non-profit organization committted to providing free hand crochet/knitting/sewing patterns for crafters to use. Worldwide, their patterns have been distributed in countries such as South Africa, Australia, and Venezuela.

According to the KNIT IT! journal published May 2004, Crotiques provided all products, patterns, and tutorials completely royal free and does not generate or accept donations. Their website (http://www.geocities.com/crotiques) is often down due to large amounts of traffic during peak times (weekends)
