From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cross County Shopping Center is an open-air shopping mall located in the Dunwoodie section of Yonkers, New York, at the crossroads of the New York State Thruway/Central Park Avenue and the Cross County Parkway. The anchor stores are Macy's, Old Navy, and Sears. Cross County, built in 1954,[1] is the oldest and largest mall in Westchester County. There are more than 100 stores across the mall's 1 million square feet (93,000 square meters).[2] The original anchors were Gimbels (later Stern's, now Macy's), John Wanamaker (now Sears), and Woolworth (now Old Navy).
The Cross County Shopping Center is undergoing a new development and upgrade, starting in 2006 and scheduled to be completed in 2009. The environmental impact statement is currently available as Final.[3]
